Do my insions look normal??? Help

Just wondering if my insions look normal for 12 days post op? Also my left one has like a lump you can see on the pic it is the lighter part underneath?? Is this normal? Panicing abit xxxx

Ouch looks painful sweetie. Everyone heals at different rates so try not to worry as you are only on po day 12. You could always watsapp that pic to your pc & they could show nurse just for peace of mind? Xx

@mrssheppard2be You look like you are healing nicely hun! The actual incisions themselves have closed and look very clean! You still look very bruised which will cause swelling, this is probably why you have a lump! My right incision feels so lumpy and horrible, but it is still very sore compared to the other so i suspect it is still very bruised inside. I wouldn’t worry hun xx

@ashytonnn do you think? Mine arent actually sore i just took the dressings off this morning so its the first time i have properly seen them and freaked out at the lumb hope it goes soon! How are you getting on xxx

@mrssheppard2be Can you push the lump?! Is it hard or squishy?! When I first saw mine, I was like ? and I see surgical wounds everyday at work lmao! I’m fine now tbh, just waiting for my boobs to drop, I don’t feel like they are dropping and it’s 2 weeks today ? back to work at the weekend aswell ?!! How are you getting on at home with the kids xx

Every stage is a worry Definately….. But overall i agree
@XX..A..XX it looks clean and on a whole healing ok just the overall bruising is making it harder for you to work out how the incision itself is looking .
I’m sure it’ll settle. Xxx

@ashytonnn good to hear your doing good how you feelind about going back to work? The lump is hard cant move it… Ive attatched a pic from another angle…. Xx

@mrssheppard2be The bruising will make the surrounding tissue swell aswell chick! If the lump is hard then it just sounds just like swelling to me. But if you want peace of mind, send a pic to your nurse! I’m nervous I will over do it but some of the girls at work know so they will help me out! I will have had nearly 4 weeks off (a week before aswell) so I’m just being lazy and don’t want to go back ? xx

@ashytonnn ive just been looking at previous threads on here and am wondering if its the scar tissue inside… Gunna email a pic to my pc anyways ?

Bless you just be careful not to over do it, i dont feel anywhere near ready to go back to work yet i still have 1 week off to pull myself round lol im managing fine with the kids though they’re good girls and my oldest has enjoyed having a bit extra responsibility around the house ?? xx

@mrssheppard2be hi Lisa, I think they look ok, like the girls say you’ve still got some bruising so it’s more than likely just some residual swelling, as easy as it is to say, try not to worry it’s still very early yet.

Did you contact your PC? Did she reply at all?

I’ve got my 2nd post op app tomorrow so will get to see my incisions too, not sure if I want to tho! Haha.

@mrsingi hey how are you doing? Hope getting back to work wasnt too bad cant believe we are almost 2 weeks post op its flown over. Good luck for your apt let me know how you get on ? i must admit i am not a fan of seeing my incisions ? i sent a pic to my pc yesterday and she forwarded it to the nurse who is going to ring me! They look so much better today my bruising has gone down alot i will try and attach a pic!

Yay…. See ! Told you @LISA ! I said that i bet the bruising was probs making it look worse and making it hard to see the actual incision healing situation….
They look 10 times better today without the bruising.

This 2 weeks has flown, can’t believe it’s gone so fast! My appointment went really well today too, the nurse is brilliant too so that helps, she trimmed my stitches and had to pull one which was stuck in my incision ? didn’t hurt when she pulled it out though so all good ?? ( I’m such a wuss ! ) just had my first shower in 13 days….( sounds disgusting lol ) it was HEAVEN, I feel a million dollars now :))

Really glad you’re doing ok and hope the nurse replies even though you feel better and less swollen
