I’ve seen that unders are more painful , can u move your arms after surgery? I really need my arms with 3 kids to look after lol I read some1 couldn’t brush there teeth etc , the nurse told me cos my boobs have already stretched with pregnancy I won’t find it as painful but thinking about my little muscles that will get stretched over the implant I’m freaking out cos it’s 300cc it looks big for my muscles as I’m flat chested! X

I had 300cc HP unders yesterday, so it’s only day one for me today. I can move my arms but choosing not to just yet- surgeon told me to be really careful as even a tug with your arm could rip some of the stitches. I work out a lot so thought my muscles would be tight & that would make it hurt…. But have no pain at all when I’m sitting still. Just feels tight but totally bareable. Not even taking the pain meds the hospital gave me, just taking paracetamol to keep on top of any pain that may come tomorrow! I chose unders as the surgeon said they’d give the result I wanted (natural, full Cs) so I listened and went with his suggestion xxx

I had unders 7 weeks ago , to be honest I read loads of stories on this forum about ladies not been able to brush their teeth , comb or brush their hair . After I had my op I was able to do most things , except stretching my arms above my head as it hurt …

Just seen this on Instagram which shows different types of dual plane you can have – variations on unders. I was told I was having unders but took photos of my notes and it says dual plane 11 xxx

Have you seen that photo I put on my profile @kel?? Makes sense now to me- saw he’s written dual plane in my notes but he was referring to them as unders. I do agree that I had sight sagging from weight loss (well from marathon training) so it makes sense xx

Oh no @KATRINAK, that sounds really sore! Hope you’re in less pain now. Not quite sure how I’ve got away so luckily so far. It’s boring not being able to move much but am in no pain whatsoever when I’m sitting, so I’m keeping on sitting! Xx

It’s on my profile and shows the different types of placement you can have…. I had dual placement 2 so maybe I’m not in so much pain as my implant is totally under the muscle. I’ll try to upload it again on here, but don’t think it’ll do it xx

Hi @sarahh and @kel I do feel better today I took night nurse and dhydrocodiene together last night so I could get some sleep and I slept from 7 till half 7 with out waking up I needed it so much after being awake all night tuesday.

I’m just sore on my bum and the bottom of my back from being propped up. I didn’t think I would be this bad as I have a good pain threshold Iv had 7 operations in the past for endometriosis, scar tissue, cysts and to have my appendix out so expecting this to be half as bad as the other op’s.

How are you all feeling today x

Hi @katrinak, so good to hear you’re feeling better. Everything was sooooo tight this morn so undid the Macom for literally two mins and as soon as I fastened it back up everything felt so much better- boobs maybe just needed a little breather ha! Had two codeine this morn when woke up but only because I’ve run out of paras until my housemate pops out for some more this morn. Pains still ok, can feel a few stabby/achey pains low down in my boob when I stand up so just doing things really slowly and spending the day sitting again! Xx

@KatrinaK, I’m the same with the air bubbles- such an odd feeling isn’t it! I’m psyching myself up to having a low bath soon- know I’ll feel better for it but am in lazy mode as it doesn’t hurt when am just sat still xx

Hey Kel! I’m 9 days post op and the pain has gone – still tight and get twinges and stinging sometimes but other than that I’m pretty much back to normal although I’m still taking it easy. Not gonna lie, the first couple of days were hurrendous! Could hardly do anything! Not a chance I could’ve looked after my children aged 2&3, I’m not soft either, looked after my newborn and 1 year old after c-section! BUT as long as you have help for the first 3 days id say you’ll be fine as after that my pain kinda just went! So weird! Xx

@KatrinaK, think at the one week appt they change the dressings, clean incisions and pop new plasters straight back on… Think it’s only after the two week appt we can shower as they take dressings off then! Had a bath & finally take plait out my hair (which had been in since Monday), so am feeling heaps nicer for it! Xx

@sarahh, o no I thought that was the 1 week check up, mine is going to take longer as my first appointment is actually 10 days post op ?.

I’m going to get my hair done Monday I’d go before that but my sisters salon is chocka with people going to the races so the dry shampoo was out this morning!! X

@katrinak, dry shampoo is my best friend right now!!! Maybe if your incisions are fine at 10 days you might be allowed the dressings off?? Nurse is just rung to check in with me- great service! Xx

Katrina, I had my dressing off at my one week appointment yesterday and can shower today when I take these steri strips off, I think it just depends on how you’re healing whether or not you have to have more dressings put on ☺️ I don’t have to go back until 6 weeks now xx

Sure you’ll be fine to have them off with it being a 10 day appointment- I’ve probs been told about the two week wait as am slow to heal (dodge blood!) xxx
