The ones they give you at the hospital, have to take them every 4 hours. If I don’t I can feel the pain straight away. Is there anything stronger I can buy xxx

you can get tramadol from your GP, which is very strong! knocked the pain straight out for me, nothing else worked but they made me so dozey and spaced out then felt extremely sick but i have a weak stomach and couldn’t even take cocodamol or the anitbiotics 🙂 so they could be fine for you, its worth a try! gets rid of the pain xxxx

Laura what sports bra are you in? It may be too small or you may need to get one that sits lower, i had an M&S zip up one that was more like a bralet than a sports bra as it sits lower so its not near the scars xx

Yes I agree with Francesca I had primark sports bra on for less than an hour coz it hurt the incisions changed to m&s zip front and no pain at all dusnt irritate the scars and really comfy. Ive put a pic up of it

I’ve had to persevere with a few bras for this reason too but seem to be ok now. I had to get tramadol for pain as cocodamol didn’t touch it! Luckily it didn’t have any side effects with me just some relief xx

Francesca you were right it was too small so I’ve changed it now feel loads better :). How do I go about getting the tramadol? I just thought we had to take the ones given to us . I’m literally taking it every 4 hours and when I don’t I feel the pain so much! I’m worried about overdosing it says no more than 8 in 24 hours and I’m literally taking the maximum I can lol xxx

Laura do you have strapping.?? If you have, you shouldn’t have to wear a sports bra until it’s removed

tramadol you’ll have to get from a GP, no other place (besides a hospital) that you can get it xx

Hmmm ok then, mines quite a big sports bra so I don’t think I could do any harm by wearing one can I? I actually find it better I feel it takes the pressure of my back xx

I got told the same – Don’t have to wear the sports bra until the strapping comes off but thinking for the extra support it might be worth getting one but a size or two bigger so it’s not too tight.
