Hi girls I have my op on the 25th of August. I have been reading alot about doctors letters. Does everyone need them I have a good medical past no issues attal just worrying as no1 has mentioned anything and I dont want to be cancelled because I havent got one xxxx
Hi Chloe I haven’t got a drs letter either. My op is the 27 of August, I gave them my doctors address so maybe they contact them. Also on my pre op the nurse said that she didn’t need to take any bloods. Did you have bloods taken. Xx
I have my pre op on the 8th, Luckily my mum works at the doctors and asked this morning for me. The doctors have printed a brief summary of my notes and a letter confirming they agree im ok for surgery. Apparently your surgeon signs off the letter to for your notes? I have heard lots of stories that girls ops have been cancelled because they didn’t get the letter over in time xxx

They contact your surgery unless you’ve had anything the dr needs to elaborate on you’ll be fine .
I had issues with my name after I changed it after my divorce but they just sorted it out between themselves the only thing I had to do was ring the Drs to authorise the firthur details
Thanks hun, I thought that you would only need something I you don’t have a clean medical history. Well at least it is sorted now. And I hopefully don’t have to worry about getting cancelled xxx
