Hi ladies, got my pre op on the 22nd and just wondering firstly what happens at it and also I’ve seen that some people have to get letters from their GP for surgery to go ahead. Does this apply to everyone and why is that?xx

They always write to your gp to confirm you don’t have any illness that you haven’t declared that would affect your surgery.
    Don’t worry it’s standard procedure.

I have a message today saying I need to pay my gp for the letter, think that should be included in the price as I’m paying enough as it is! X

I didn’t pay for my gp letter as I collected it and took it to Mya myself. I also had an ecg at the gp which they did not charge for as I took the results to Mya myself. Maybe ask if your can do this? X

I had to pay for my GP letter too. And I collected it from them and took it to MYA myself. Think every GP is different. Xx
