I don’t know! I’m sure he said they would be in. Hope they won’t be though, more scared about the drains than the op! When are you booked in?

I had drains in when I had my first BA and I won’t lie the feeling of getting them taken out was more uncomfortable than the actual BA. But they do it really quick that the little pain is gone straight away.
Some surgeons use drains and some don’t but having drains is not really anything to do with how good a surgeon is or not, it’s more to do with whether they think the patient needs then or not. Here’s hoping we don’t need them anyway 🙂 x

I had my ba last week with marion and she used drains on me. I woke up with them in and had them in all night. You cant feel them in but when the nurse takes them out its very uncomfortable and does give a sharp pain which did make me yelp out abit lol but its only a bit sore after that x

Mr schiavone uses the drains to reduce the chance of cc and to make sure all fluid has gone around implant I think, don’t worry about pain just think of those yummy boobies u will have 😉 13 sleeps to go for me yipppeeee xx

Hope I don’t have to have drains, does anyone know if mr Traynor generally uses them? I know it depends on the patients so we should all just convince ourselves we won’t need them, no dread then 😉 xx

i think everyone has to have drains its to stop clotting etc i cant bear having a plaster pulled off and i threw a fit when they removed my drains but u cant go home with them it really isnt that bad and if it prevents further complications then its well worth it dont worry about it , it literally takes 30 seconds to remove each one then within minutes the pain u were feeling is gone …. if ur anything like me u’ll be begging to have them out so u dont have to be accompanied to the toilet with two tubs of blood lol …. dont panic theres nothing to worry about !!! xxxx

No Mr Traynor generally doesn’t use them, obviously unless he has to, he’s doing my re-op on 19th December 🙂 x
