    Hi girls,

Next week I’ll be 4 weeks post op, so technically 2 weeks away from that golden 6 week mark!! However my boobs are still so firm and still quite high, I’m seriously doubting that they’re going to change THAT much in that amount of time to be able to wear a normal bra?! Am I just a late bloomer or did anyone else find theirs changed quite a bit in the last couple of weeks?! Xx

Hi babe. I’m 5 week post op on Tuesday. My 6 week check is this Saturday. When I was 4 week I tried on a bra with no underwire and they didn’t sit in it properly cos they still felt so still. I went and tried normal bras on yesterday and they felt a lot better than they did at 4 week but still not 100% back to normal. They defo change so much in the first 6 week. 4 weeks is still early in the healing process, youl carry on seeing lots more changes before your 6 week check. Promise, just try n be patient I know it’s hard I can’t wait to be feeling back to normal! Still feel like I have to move so carefully when not wearing a bra cos they feel like there gonna fall off!!! Haha xxx

Ahh thanks Gina, that’s really reassuring!! Think I’m just being impatient, I swore to myself that I wouldn’t worry about my progress until the 6 week mark, but it’s so hard not to! Haha xxx

I’m exactly the same babe. At 4 week my left boob was a lot higher than my right. I thought it should have been the same at that point n was worrying but it’s starting to drop more each day. The time flies anyways youl soon be loving them as will I 🙂 xxx

Hi at 6 weeks I wasn’t ready to wear a normal bra they were like rocks still and sore !
I tried some on at 6 weeks and they didn’t look good .
I left it till about 9 /10 weeks till they had softened and didn’t hurt and I’m glad I did .
So if your not ready at 6 weeks it’s worth carrying on with the sports bra till your ready , it’s only a guide X

    Hi girls,
my breast were so firm and stiff during first 2 months after BA. I used post operative bras from brand Lipoelastic. They have 2 step programme, one bra is for the first 2 weeks and the second one for 6 weeks after the step one. I wore the second step more than 6 weeks, cause my breast were not prepared for a normal bra. And to be true, I am 4 months after my BA and I wear it till now sometimes. It’s so comfy, that when I come home I change a normal bra for this one. And i wear it as a sports bra too. So I think, it’s important to listen to your own body. You will feel it, when you are prepared to wear a normal bra. 🙂

    Take care,

    Camilla

I’m feeling exactly the same, can’t even push mine together or anything yet!!
M&S do really soft non wire slightly padded bras that mold to your boobs! (Some of them are made for post surgery) And still have a supportive underband
And they’re still really pretty and give a far nicer shape than a sports bra that sits flat over your chest!
I have a feeling that I’m gona have no choice but to live in those for a while but I don’t mind because when I tried them they still look really pretty and so much better under clothes xxx

10 weeks…. blimey! I’m moving to Dubai when I’m just over 7 weeks post op, so was reallyyyy hoping to be in normal bras by then as wearing sports bras constantly over there is going to be a nightmare! I guess I’ll just have to put up with it though if I’m not ready, it’ll be worth it in the end! Xxx

Hollie I can’t squish mine together either! It’s reassuring to know though that we’re feeling similar and making the same sort of progress, as you as we had our ops at the same time!!
I’m definitely going to look into the m&s bras, they sound like they could be a life saver! Thanks for that 🙂 xxx
