So I know that you’re not meant to drink after your op but I was just wondering how long for? Supposed to be going out this Saturday night for our Xmas dinner/drinks x

Thanks ladies! I forgot to ask how long you shouldn’t be drinking! Not great timing with Xmas and new year both in the middle of our 6weeks recovery period! But I know you’re right to just take it easy! I think I’m being a worry wart as I don’t want anything to compromise the results! X

@chlobo hi .. there are no rules on how long u shouldn’t drink for I had my post op app with nurse today (I’m 1 week post op) and she said I can drink now as long as u feel fine u can do what u like obvs be careful and only allow wat ur body is happy with if it feels too much or hurts don’t do it but it is safe for u to drink … she said it is important not to drink before op as it thins ur blood but after ur op once ur incisions have closed u r fine to drink xx hope this helps

I had my post op today and she said don’t get drunk (you can have a little drink) for 4-6 weeks as it thins your blood and we are still at a risk of bleeding. She said to me just be careful and don’t go over board. It is Christmas after all!!
