    Hey ladies
How soon after surgery did you start driving again and reversing and doing big munovers? Xx

I started about a week after. It wasn’t too bad only hurt a bit going into 5th and reverse. X

Day 6 short journey, day 7 did about 3 hours of driving. Was a bit stiff and achey but nothing too bad. To be honest closing the door and stretching my arm back for the seatbelt was the worst part!

So from the sounds of it girls you would say fifth gear was abit uncomfortable? To be real honest ive actually had a muscle pull from goin on the fifth gear I personally think because your goin right across your side on the gears sort of using your chest muscles more so godhelp me after surgery lol. don’t think I will be so brave and drive that early stages so well done girls for being brave lol I probably wait atleast the 3 week mark which will be hard xx

Im not sure if thats the case with girls that have had overs but your pec muscle definitely contracts when you go into 5th 🙂

Well I think wether unders or overs it will still feel uncomfortable as the under flesh will still be raw cut early stages I still feel pulling on old surgeries I’ve had from where the stitches are deep in my tissue! X

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s struggling with 5th gear! Drove for the first time today and I’m 1week post op! (My surgeon and nurse both advised driving after 1week!) just take it easy and see how you go I built my confidence up just by doing a couple of short journeys! I found putting the hand break on was a bit hard too! But my cars not rolled off my drive and into my house yet so I’m sure it’s fine haha xx

i didn’t drive for ages, mostly because 1. i didn’t have to and 2. i was worried about getting my car in reverse gear as its a Clio with a funny gear box!!

i think i drove at around 10 days though xx
