Driving!!!

How soon after your op can you drive? If any time at all…
Also, I walk to work every day, it’s only 15 mins down the road but is that going to be classed as excersise that i probably shouldn’t do for upto 6 weeks?! Been told you just have to take it easy for 6 weeks!

a 15 minute walk will be fine haha, just make sure all the anesthetic is out your system before you try and walk somewhere without assistance in case you get dizzy.
I can’t remember how long they say for driving but i think i drove around week 3? i had nowhere i had to go that required driving though xx

I think my nurse told me 1-2 weeks with driving, but to only start driving when I needed to. I started driving on Wednesday so 8 days post op, and it is a little bit uncomfortable putting my car into 5th gear, so I think just be careful it your still in pain xx

Hi girls my nurse told me after 7 days your ok to drive, to be honest I didn’t feel quite ready! Still sore & stiff, think I started driving on day 9! Just go careful, I was worried I was over stretching 🙂
I think in the information booklet MYA give you it says 1-2 weeks xxx
