I had mine on tues evening and was driving on Thursday (just a short journey)- oops. The official line for anaesthetic is not for 48 hours, the insurance companies say a week, and the nurse did tell me off for driving within that time. She said even though I felt fine and wasn’t in any pain or restricted, if I had to react to something quickly I could have damaged myself or worst case hurt someone else by not reacting/not reacting enough (prob same reason for insurance). I totally understand what she was saying. I think you will know in yourself if you are okay. Sorry I’m not more helpful 🙂 xxx

As Miss naughty misfion said you’re not insured for a week after your op! So if anything happened to ether yours or somebody else’s car you wouldn’t be covered! As long as you feel well enough! Just avoid speed bumps and pot holes!:D xxx

I was back driving at 7 days didn’t drive to often and only short journeys as felt tender changing gears was feeling fine just over two weeks post op gear changing was easy again as my boob was more relaxed and didn’t move with my arm all of the time xx

I drove yesterday (6 days post op) and although it didn’t hurt I could feel it pulling in all the wrong places, drove like a grandma 2 lol! Think I’m gonna leave it a few more days before I get behind the wheel again, more for other road users sake ;P x
