    Hey Girls,

I am having my breast done on the 17th of feb and I have my driving test two weeks later.

I want to practice my driving a week before which will be one week after my operation, do you think it is enough recovery time? or should I postpone my test?

    Please help

Everyone’s different, I had overs which take less recovery than unders but I still wasn’t able to drive 2weeks afterwards especially as it was my left side that since the day of the op that’s been most swollen stiff &a pain and that’s the side with the gear stick & hand brake of course! That’s my experience though I’ve seen some girls say they’ve driven sooner than that x

Might sound crazy but if the gear stick and hand break was on other side of the car I would’ve been able to manage? I guess it’s whether you want to risk it or not x

I will be getting partial which takes longer to heal, I really do hope I can get this done 🙁 but I’m so excited to finally get them done x

How confident are you on passing? If you feel 100% sure you will pass, then maybe you would be able to cope with any pain you might feel as no doubt you want to get it over and done with. My friend was back driving on the school run after 3 days, she said sore but easier than walking the school walk with her kids. If you have any doubt then prob advisable to cancel and do a few weeks later, if this will be easier for you. Sods law you cancel and then are one of those with no pain hehe xx

Seems like the best thing to do is post pone it as I can drive but I still have nerves and as its the test would be better not to risk it, thanks girls x
