I’m just doing a bit of research into BA and was wondering if anyone had any experience of what exercise is like post op? I do a lot of yoga and dancersize and it’s quite a big part of my life. How long do you have to wait before exercising after surgery? Does having big boobs make yoga more difficult? Or is it uncomfortable doing high impact cardio? Thanks in advance if anyone can answer! 🙂

    Hi Laurie

I wrote a post really similar to this as I exercise a lot!! They say 6 weeks max before you can start going back, I’m 1 week post op and it’s the furthest thing from my mind at the min as I’m finding moving about like a normal person difficult!! Just because I don’t want to do any damage!

Just don’t want to get a flat bum being sat down most of the day!! Eek!

    Xx

Hi Helen, thanks for your reply! I know what you mean about damage, I had a mole removed recently and didn’t wait long enough afterwards and the incision opened up – now I have a massive scar 🙁 So I would be anxious about more scarring etc. But 6 weeks without exercise might drive me mad! Are you happy with your new boobies? They look great in the pics xx

Oh no!! Are u ok? I know it’s a bit of a long game with it I think! I’ve heard some people go back and do gentle exercise after 3 or 4 weeks but I guess you’d speak to the nurse and see what’s right for you! I already feel like my legs are wasting away! But trying to keep my diet really strict while I can’t exercise!

I’m very happy!! I’d wanted it done for ages so definitely the right thing to do! But again it’s just about being patient! My right boob is causing me an issue being all swollen and not dropping yet – but it’s still early days so won’t be perfect straight away! Plus I think they change everyday and just get better with time – can’t wait for the drop and fluff!!

What are you thinking of going for? Xx

I’m 4 weeks post op on Tuesday tbh I feel like I could train everything apart from chest but don’t think I will as I don’t want to pull anything stitches and also as I had mine partially under I don’t want to damage the muscle repairing over ! Xx good luck girls

It’d be good to know how long you wait as I do pole dancing along with normal gym exercise classes so don’t want to be missing out on that for too long. The only thing with pole is that you do put a lot of strain on your body so I don’t want to tear anything! X
