Feeling awful 12 days post op.. :(

Hey girls, had my ba almost 2 weeks ago and I woke up at 5am this morning feeling so Ill, I feel really sick and I’m achey all over and feel roasting could this be connected to my ba or am I just generally not feeling well?

I’m 5 days post op n keep going hot n cold, don’t know whether it’s part of ‘the healing process or not, everything I google i have one website saying its normal and one saying its not lol ring the nurse if your worried xx

It could be signs of an infection or it could just be the flu. There are alot of bugs going round at the moment. If you are unsure though give your nurse a ring, or the emergency line since its a sunday and see what they say. Best to have these things checked and its what you’ve paid for xx

Those are tell-tale signs of a bad infection- get it checked. x

Hey ellebee, I hope you feel better soon. Could you let me know how you get on? Just for the last few days I’ve been feeling hot, nauseous and was actually sick a few times 2 days ago, getting headaches on and off, tummy pains and now an iffy tummy, so I’m feeling pretty crap too. I’m 3 weeks PO so unsure if it’s related to the BA or just a bug. My boobs or incisions aren’t in any pain and don’t look red, swollen or any different to before I felt like this so when I rang my nurse the other day they didn’t think it was anything to worry about, maybe just a lowered immune system from recovering from the op so more susceptible to things. I feel a lot better than I did but still something is hanging round so I might have to get onto them again if there’s no improvement tomorrow. I just don’t know whether I’m worrying too much about everything! Xx

Hey candyfloss, how are you feeling? Nurse said pretty much the same as yours, if their is no change in the appearance or pain of the boobs then it’s most likely viral due to lowered immune system. I’m feeling a bit better today which is good. This was my first real panic since the surgery but I feel there may be more to come!! Hope you feel better xx

Thanks, I’m feeling a lot better than I did. I still can’t seem to shift this headache that’s been hanging around for days though It’s reassuring that you were told a similar thing. We’re probably just a bit run down from it all. I know what you mean, I’m convinced something will go wrong at some point cos it’s my luck so I’m a bit hyper vigilant to anything and everything! I hope you’re on the mend. Xx
