    Hi,

Just needed to vent about some worries I’m having and would love to hear from any of you with advice/who have the same issues. Im getting rhino soon and firstly dont really want to tell my friends. Did anyone else have this/did they notice?

Im also so scared about GA – what if i dont wake up after etc/ what if i DO wake up in the op! ahhh

and finally so scared about the result – my mum is being very positive about it and i think deep down she thinks something is going to wrong which makes me so worried even though everyone at MYA is so great and so professional. Heeeeelp 🙁 XXX

Hey Pixie123 ~ I told a few girls at work but I don’t really work with them (in the same office) and haven’t told any of the guys I work with (It’s IT so I work in an all male office) and I just wanna turn up and see if they notice ~ you know what guys are like… going to be an interesting day… at first I figured the Dr wouldnt do a fantastic job (of which he did) and figured there wouldnt be that much of a difference…but boy was I wrong…. I had a nose that even Barbara Striesand would be proud of… so when I saw my reveal on Friday just gone I was pretty much godsmacked!!! So worth the money… with my old nose I was the first to NOT look in the mirror….now I can’t stop..hehehehe! I’d say keep it a secret and see if anyone notices ~ i know someone on here stated that she didn’t tell a few people at work and they would look at her and not quite know what was different…LOL! My ex boyfriend of 7 years was the first to see it….and he was WOW!!!! I wouldnt worry about what your friends think, long as you love the result 🙂 xx

You won’t wake up in the op don’t worry! There will be someone monitoring you the whole time you’re under so they would know if you were waking up before you actually did. I had a real bad fear of that lol x x x

    Hi ladies,

Which surgeon did you go with? I’m looking into rhinoplasty at the moment and have got a surgeon consultation booked with Dr Lancer but can’t find any reviews on him, only Dr Gonschier. Any help would be much appreciated!

To be honest…. I find myself grinning like an idiot ALL the time… I wonder if the surgeons know just what a difference in our lives it makes Gosh I hope your as pleased as I was a my reveal. 🙂 x

It doesn’t hurt… its just the sticky plaster which is a tad hard to pull off…. my nurse used some sort of water/ointment which helped with the sticky ness… she did that on the side plasters which she used a Q-tip to gently ease underneat…. then she tried lifting off the splint… which was totally stuck and I informed her that she might need to use the Q-tip again on that…of which she did and after it pratically slid right off… she then ask me to go look in the mirror ~ and thats when I got stuck with this big stupid smile…. think the smile will take sometime to wear off ~ but I don’t mind 🙂 xx

Well after being stuck under that splint for a whole week…. I let my nose breathe for the weekend and gave my whole face a good ol’ facemask ~ the ones that you can peel off…. and a good moisurise and wore make up on Monday ~ nothing too heavy obviously… and removed it that night….having to be careful when you take it off even when you remove make up off your cheeks you feel yourself pulling on the nose…. just be really really gentle. I dont have any pain, but it is still sensertive around the nostrels due to the stitches inside and slight booger crusting etc…. but that should disappear around after 2-3 weeks (I googled this) Ya should be fine 🙂 x

I remember my nose itching like a bitch…. so I would just try and ignore it, but at times you just can’t ~ you basically just have to take it, I guess you could sort of wiggle the splint a little but didn’t want to jepardise the surgeons job…. so would always stop myself…LOL! Have to say its lovely having the cast off ~ as Braveheart would say FREEDOM!!!!! heh heh heh. You’ll be fine just keep yourself busy, I did, I became this DIY freak at home 🙂 x
