Hi all, I have wanted a breast enlargement for the last 7 years and finally want to go through with it now that I have my daughter and back into work again.
My partner and I split 2 years ago and he left me in a bit of a financial mess which I had to pick up the pieces to.
As a result…my credit rating is poor even after clearing the debts.
I’m back on my feet and have a steady income, after waiting so long I am desperate to have the op this year!!
Has anyone been accepted by the mya finance with a poor credit? I have enough for deposit so would just be a case of getting accepted.
I really don’t want to go down the route of a high interest loan x

Sorry to tell u Hun but u got no chance. U need an excellent credit score with no history of even a late payment need to be a home owner & earn over 22 grand a year. Nearly everyone fails even with great credit. I took a loan from the bank x

My sister got me credit she only works 16 hours and isn’t a home owner. She does have good credit tho not sure about any late payments she has. And her income is made up from working tax credits and wages from only 16 hours working in a bar. Try what’s the worst that can happen and if not try asking someone who trusts u xx

You don’t have to be a homeowner and earn over 22,000 a year. I’m a homeowner but also a student that only works part time and gets 10,000 a year and I’ve been accepted. If you have a look on the MYA website it states the criteria for finance. I think you do need to have a good credit rating though. Maybe ask someone who trusts you and with a good rating to do it in their name? Xx

Here’s the criteria Hun, it only states that you are not to have been bankrupt or have a CCJ so maybe worth asking someone at MYA about it as they will know xx

That’s what I was told. Codie the fact you are a homeowner is probably how you got accepted because u got something they can take back. Loans like this are hard to get its not like for a car or home improvements where it can just get repossessed so they need to be sure u can afford it or have assets that’s the bottom line. Good luck Abby hope u can get the money you need. Also the loan I took from the bank was only over 3 years for the full 5 grand & im only paying £800 interest over the whole time which is cheaper than the interest if you go with myas finance company. Makes sense to look at all your options & don’t get disheartened. Also it does hurt if u apply and get denied it affects your credit score so if you know u have bad credit I wouldn’t add insult to injury. That’s just my advice x

Sorry if I’ve sounded rude at all Abby. Didn’t mean to come across as rude I just wanted u to know not to feel like it’s just I if u fail & that there are other options xx

That’s ok didn’t take it to heart at all I haven’t applied for credit anywhere for over a year now as I know it can have a negative effect on my credit rating if refused.
I’ve spoke to a woman from mya who advised they have a high acceptance rate as long as you work over 16 hours and have no ccjs, bankruptcy or defaults in the last 3 years.

I’ve asked so many questions about the finance and apparently it’s not that hard to get accepted?! 16 hours a week part time working and just need no ccjs etc in the past 3 years.. my partner got accepted for me and he has had bad credit (this was about 8years ago now though) and works full time. He private rent so don’t own our own house or anything xx

I am not a homeowner, I too private rent and got accepted. There are other options if you don’t get the finance chick, someone could take it out in your name if they are able to or try elsewhere for a loan! I know a few girls have even got credit cards and paid it off. I applied for finance early on just to make sure I would be accepted before I went ahead with getting excited ? Xx

I got accepted and my credit is just in the middle from bad to good and I only have a credit card in my name no mobile or other debt.

If you go on noddle you can get your credit report monthly for free so check your credit before you apply x

Does anyone know if you have to attend a consultation before finding out if you can get accepted for finance?
I’m down in Devon so would have to travel a fair distance (which I don’t mind as I would really love to have the op with MYA) but would like to know if I get accepted before booking a consultation and getting excited xx

my pc said i would need to see her first so she could give me a price (as it varies with everyone) but things seem to differ quite a lot on here so try ringing them and they should be able to tell you xx

I live with my parents, i did hairdressing for a while so I got paid cash in hand so never used my bank account. I got a different job two months ago, so I now have money going into my account. I don’t have a credit rating at all, never put a phone through my bank account or anything, I still got accepted for finance.
