So i woke up crying at 4am this morning with a horrid burning sensation in my left nipple and incision. Took painkillers and put ice on it but it took ages for the feeling to go away. The same feeling has now came back when i have woke up again. Im really thinking my macom is too tight? It seems to be lying on my insicions and its digging in under my arms and feels like its nipping at my sides.

Thinking of going to m and s and getting a next band up bra to help accomodatw the swelling then go back to my macom when the swelling goes down. What do you girls think? The macom just seems to be really irritating me :/

Some girls just don’t get on with Macom bras! I bought an emergency spare from amazing (but I’m so far iknwith my Macom) I’ve heard good things about the m&s ones and the ones in matalan. I know it’s already a bit outlay but if it means getting better sleep and bring more comfortable just buy a couple more. Also try to make sure that you take your pain meds just before bed- even if they’re not hurting x

Well I was wearing macoms and as my boobs got more swollen I couldn’t fasten them completely. In the end it was agony and suffocating wearing them after 8 days so yesterday I bought 2 MYA bras in medium. The difference is amazing, they’re so soft and comfortable and I don’t have that feeling that I’ve got 2 rocks on my chest. I can walk about now much better….. Still sore and a bit painful but I would really recommend the MYA. Just make sure you leave enough time to fasten them, this is the only tricky thing!

I think it might be because you are sitting/laying too low. You need to sit up higher. I had exactly the same pain and it has completely stopped now that I am sitting up higher when I am laying on my bed/sitting down.

Keep an ice pack with you at all times, it does calm down the pain a bit and make sure you are taking your prescription to try help with pain relief.

Thanks ladies, just been to m and s and the lady even said the macom looked harsh and really painful. I went for the high impact sports bras 2 pack which was recommended above and it is soo comfy! Feel so much happier already, i could even stand up straighter! Yeah Rael im not in any pin really when im sitting up straight in a chair, so maybe i am falling down a little bit too much in bed xxx

You have enough on your plate without an uncomfy bra. I bought loads and ended up liking the matalan sports bra , it does say ”light support ‘ but I find it more supportive than some that are labelled ‘high support ‘. Go try a range on at matalan or m&s. I never got a macom. They look so uncomfortable. It’s a bit trial and error with bras . X

It still seems to be digging in under my arms and stinging slightly. Maybe i will just have to ride this uncomfortable stage out :/
