First consultation help please??

Hi girls! Just booked my first consultation with MYA at London Fitzroy can someone let me know what happens and how long it takes??

Hey! Your patient coordinator will talk you through everything you need to know. She asks which way you want to pay etc. Then comes the surgeon consultation where he suggests a size for you and you try on the implants with a nursing bra to see if you will like them. Once you’ve paid your deposit you can book your surgery, you second surgeon visit and your pre-op. My first consultation was 3 weeks ago, I saw my surgeon tonight and my surgery is on November 4th which was the earlier date available. It all happens so quick! Xx

do I have to decide if I want surgery on my first consultation? I really want to go for more information and make sure I’m a 100% I’m only 18 and really want to make the right decision I just don’t want to make any quick decisions on my first consultation!

How exciting that you’ve got the ball rolling, my initial consultation was at the fitzroy also and probably lasted around 30 minutes. You go in and get sent down to the waiting room with an ipad where you fill in all of your details and medical history questions, once this is handed back to reception you get collected by your patient coordinator who will be assigned to you, this is the girl you will go to with any queries, payment or questions throughout the whole journey. She will speak to you about what you want to achieve and will speak to you about the implants they use, the process as well as showing you pictures of before and afters and prices. You then get asked if you have a surgeon in mind and if you don’t she will pair you up with one. You can ask any questions that you have and you then get some bits to take away with prices, contact details of your PC and the next steps and it all just goes from there! You can book in to see a surgeon or book your surgery date at this point as well if you want to.

No you can ask all the question you want, she gives you her mobile number so any questions you have afterwards to call/text her and she will tell you everything you need to know. These forums are really helpful too, they put me at ease! I’ve wanted mine done for 8 years so it was a no brainier for me. You can add the girls on her (and myself) if you want to talk privately. No problem, I can imagine how scary it all feels! Xx

Thank you so much for yor help, I’ve been so embarrassed about mine since I was like 13, they just stopped growing, I’m only a size 6/8 and 5ft 2 so it doesn’t look so bad but it’s a confidence thing I’ve been with my boyfriend for nearly 2 and a half years and i struggle to show him my boobs I hate them, it’s awful but I’m fairly scared of surgery and the aftermath of it but I am pretty certain I will make the right decision this forum is SO helpful it makes you feel so much more at ease xxxxx

They will help with confidence I’m sure of it! I’ve always been a empty 34b and I breastfed my little boy so they are awful now, it’s the boost is girls need! Your coordinator will talk you through everything they do, they use sedation which doesn’t make you groggy for days afterwards and like any surgery you will feel aches and pains but how I’ve looked at it is, it’s a few days of discomfort for a lifetime of happiness 🙂 xx

yeah exactly ☺️ Just going to go get some information see how I feel and give myself a couple days to take it all in and then progress with the surgeon consultation!! Heard really good things about all surgeons, possibly leaning towards Dr Traynor? But I’m sure I will be paired with the best I honestly appreciate your help so much xxx

Yeh get all the information you need before making any big decisions. Took me a week to get my head around it all! I’m with me kazzazi at the natural look clinic, he’s lovely and his work is amazing! Yes your PC will help you decide. Don’t worry about it, it’s what we are here for 🙂 xx

Danielle I had my first consultation at the Fitzroy with a really nice PC kept waiting a little after doing the iPad health questions she takes you into a room & talks about the options prices etc I would have liked to try on some to see how they looked & felt – the bras & implants were all there just ready to try but seemingly you have to wait for your second consultation with a surgeon for that bit that was a little disappointing I also got chatting to another girl in the waiting room who was at her pre op consultation she was a bit nervous we did chat about dealing with office issues around telling your boss why you need the time off !
