Omg girls sorry to be such a whinge bag tonight but this pain is excruciating and I was not prepared for it to be this bad. My strapping is sooo tight even the slightest movement makes it dig into my incisions, I got a Macom a size bigger but it’s so tight if I do it up I’m in agony. Keep getting these sharp pains so bad that it literally feels like someone is pulling my implants out. I can’t stop crying and sleep seems impossible. I have seen so many posts about how the pain is there but is nothing they can’t handle, but I am literally in bits. Is this normal? I’m so scared xxx

Stay strong. After couple of days it’ll be ok. Take your pain killers every 4hrs. I know what you mean about the strapping. My strapping was too tight. Tighter than normal. After a week nurse ripped it off and she even said that it was way too tight. But maybe it was because i had an uplift too. Probably you are very upset, that makes things worse. I had panic attacks 2-3 times a day. But luckily for me there was no pain. But i had discomfort which was driving me crazy. Your swelling will go down and your bra will fit you better. My bra didn’t fit me after 3 days because of swelling. But now it fits again. Well, maybe take off your bra, because you have the strapping on anyway i guess? That might make you feel better.
You will feel better soon. Also, the V pillow helps with sleeping. I feel so sorry for you hunny. Xx :-/ just try to do your best to stay positive, crying is not going to help you. You’ll just get more and more upset. 🙁 did you had implants under the muscle? And what size they are,if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi I’m exactly the same. Had my op yesterday and I am in so much pain which I was really not prepared for. Really hoping it’s gonna get better soon! Xx

Hi maddie, I had my op on the 15th and day 2 (yesterday) was awful I cried to my mum haha which I know is silly because I wanted this but like you I really didn’t think I would experience this much pain 🙁 I woke up at 5am this morning because I’m now getting back pain from sleeping upright..its shit tbh but I know it’s not permanent, and then when I take my Macom bra off to attempt to cleanse my body with a watermelon smelling baby wipe (hahaha) I remember why I done this because I’m already more confident taking this bra off then I ever was before 🙂 the mya nurse should call you 2 days post op, if you can’t wait until then, give them a call hun it might make you feel better just getting a little reassurance xxx

Thanks girls! My Macom just seems way too tight, the amount of agony I’m in just triples when I put it on. Had to take it off last night cause just couldn’t handle it. When the nurse put it on me I said I think it’s too tight and she said it’s meant to be because it’s a compression garment, but i don’t know. Thinking of going to M&S and buying that zip up sports bra in a bigger size but having spent £75 on these Macom bras I’m gutted haha
Also so convinced my strapping is far too tight, it felt fine yesterday until the nurse took the drains out and applied more tape and pulled it all tighter, it’s digging in so badly to my incisions and stretching my boobs so wide. I’ll attach a pic xx

I am sure an M&S one will be fine. Get a size bigger than your usual chest size and a good cup size. I had similar implant size to you and 36E fitted me very comfortably at the begining (I was 34 C before my op). My Macom fits well now all my swelling has gone, so don’t worry about the price, you will wear it again hun.

Hey girl I’m legit in agony too I’m struggling sooo much just to sit up in bed or bed over to pick up my charger it’s awful, my surgeon told me she only wanted to do unders on me so I just accepted that and didn’t really look into how much more painful unders were! My pain seems to get better in the middle of the day and worse in the evening and morning which is so annoying. This is my 3rd day post op and I’m just holding out for the pain to get better!

@beckis I just went and got a sports bra from M&S, I tried the 36E and it was too loose on the cups but the 36DD fitted a lot better. Still feels very tight but with the strapping as tight as it is I think everything will. I can actually wear this bra without falling apart crying unlike the Macom so atleast it’s an improvement xx

@meganrds Aw Hun it’s horrific. I can’t sit up at all I need someone to physically pull me up, hoping it starts to get better soon but have a bad feeling it’ll get worse before it gets better. I’m honestly totally useless my boyfriends having to help me go to the toilet it’s so embarrassing haha. My only option was unders due to how small I was before but yeah they’re a lot worse for recovery 🙁 keep me updated with how you’re doing so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel haha! Xx

Just make sure you’re keeping on top of the medication. Try and take codeine or whatever the strong equivalent of that you have. Everyday gets better I promise! x

So glad you got a more comfortable bra, it makes a massive difference. Although I didnt have unders and strapping, I had really severe bruising and swelling of my sternum, I actually thought I had broken ribs from the bra being so tight, I am sure the bra contributed to the serious bruising and pain. when the starpping comes off be prepaired that you may need a different size bra and also as you drop you wil need a bigger bra, so expect it to be expensive, but you have experienced how important it is to get a bra that supports you, but is also comfortable enough to wear 24/7.
The next issue I found after about 7 days was that my nipples were hyper sensitive because of rubbing against the bra material all day and night so I brought nursing breast pads from boots and they make a massive difference. Just advanced warning of what to expect hun, i might be more sensitive than others though because I am fair skinned.
    anyway glad u r a little more comfortable x

@pearl500 I’ve been told by my surgeon (Dr Marcellino) to wear my Macom on top of my strapping 24/7, I ended up having the nurse ring me as the Macom hurt so much so now I’ve got the M&S one on.. i wonder why we’re all told different things?! 🙁 xx

Yes its so strange , all seem to have different ways of doing things. Does make you wonder ..I’ve even read that some surgeons recommend no bra at all. My surgeon is really against Macoms and has advised me to buy a ‘total control bra ‘ from matalan for £8.00?! Hope your pain improves! And fast xx
