    Hi,
Just wondering who has flew after having their BA and also how soon after? I’m going to Australia for a wedding and I know they say 6 weeks before doing a long haul flight but I am going to a wedding over there and I am bridesmaid so I would rather have them done before I go but would a flight 2 weeks post op be a bit risky?

    ThanksXxx.

Hey Hun I can’t answer your question based on solid and professional facts but I’m pretty sure its all to do with blood clots I really would not recommend even considering it it takes one clot and when you think of it like that is it really worth it? I’d seek professional advice but like I say I pretty sure that’s why good luck xx ps don’t mean to scare you xx

Hi Karina, my PC said 2wks for short haul but 4-6 for long haul. 2 wks to fly half way round the world is pushing the limits of their advice a bit! I agree with Jenny, personally I wouldn’t risk it but double check with the PCs, they may say different to you xxx

Hey babes, I work as cabin crew and i was flying literally 2 weeks after my op. Was quite strenuous and I was pretty sore from lifting etc. obviously you wont be doing all of that but trying to get comfy on a plane can be hard enough and with new boobs might you might not feel that comfy. Also if there is any turbulence you might feel yourself holding on to them lool. I recommend going to the wedding before op, as healing/discomfort time after BA can last a while and you also want to be up and about enjoying yourself 😀 If you decide to go after really rest your body and also walk around on the plane. Hope this helps xxx

I will be 3 weeks post-op on Monday and may be going to Australia on Wednesday (for work). Karina did you end up going to Oz? Has anyone else travelled sooner than the 6 week guideline? xx
