Friend request etiquette!

Hi Ladies

There’s been countless posts on this subject and I was trying to find one in ‘Search’ to bump but I can’t seem to find one.

Ever since I have been post op I have had countless requests from people with no activity or message.

In particular, there is one certain ‘person’ who has been registered for 3 weeks with absolutely no activity, no forum posts and no updates. However I can see ‘she’ is gaining friends every day and 184 unsuspecting souls have accepted. This person is sending me a request EVERY SINGLE DAY, and each day I am rejecting it. Now I have given up and am just going to leave it hanging. I wish there was a way to block people as it’s getting annoying.

Just bear in mind we all have very personal pictures on here and I will not accept requests from people who do not have the courtesy to email me first. If you are active on the forum however, no need to email, cos I am sure I would have seen you around.

The day I had my op I got 13 requests none of whom messaged me. They could be anyone. Strange xo

Also I did have pics of me with my face in them which I removed xx

The person adding me daily without a word is Kathisch, so if anyone knows this person is genuine, or indeed if this person is reading, please speak out and I will accept x

Yep – I know – I only accept those who are active and who seem to know what they’re talking about! xx

@tracyface I had a request from that person too Trace and didn’t accept it cos I was suspicious too 🙂 had a couple of others too which seemed odd x

Yeah Trace, there has been somebody who keeps adding me with different accounts. They have no other friends, no activity, no info at all about them on their profile, and add me with different names every time I reject them. I now tend to reject alot of requests from people with no profile pic. We need to be very careful girls. There are some perverts on this site. I’ll try and bump this post everyday, if that’s alright with you Trace. xxx

I just find it even more creepy that this certain person who adds me daily obviously keeps looking for my profile or has it bookmarked!! I don’t know about you ladies but when in trying to find someone on here i want to get in touch with they’re really hard to find lol xx

@tracyface Ahh thanks hun! I had that person in my friends!! Lol just deleted. Gonna go through my friends list later and delete those without activity 🙂 xx

@traceyface just deleted this member off my friends all there is down her profile is loads of friends she’s made and no comments or posts.

Just noticed they’re in my friends – the picture looks blurred like its been taken from google or something, weird

I have deleted said person based on what’s been said and surprise, surprise, they’ve tried to add me again. I’m a little concerned and have removed pictures from my profile because I’m worried now. I wish MYA had some way of authenticating users as it’s worrying to think it could be anyone looking our pictures! I know we’re all aware of e-safety but please be careful with this person, girls! They’re persistent! Apologies to the person if they are genuine but at the moment I have no reason to believe they are!!!

I don’t accept anyone now without a message first and yes I’ve had a friends request from that very same person x

So scary… That name rings a bell to me too @tracyface and it’s such a shame people feel the need to do these things which spoil it for all the genuine women who have accounts on here.. I deleted all my pictures and covered the nipples then uploaded them all again, it’s sad as I didn’t want to do this as I think it helps other women to see the full picture of the breasts including nipples… But as a safe option I decided it was for the best x

Just to let you know I emailed a Mod who told me they would investigate the matter.

His(!) request had now disappeared so believe ‘Kathisch’ is no longer a registered member.

Can I just warn you ladies that if it is indeed a guy, he will no doubt make a new profile – just be very weary of anyone you add and I suggest you cover your nipples in all pictures, personal or private xx

Bumping this up again as in a day 3 friends requests with not a hi or comment or anything x

Oh sorry girls 🙁 I may be guilty of adding without a message. but Its because Im new! and it says ‘send public message’ and I was worried because does that not mean it would post a whole new thread in the public section just saying hi I hope you don’t mind if I add you?

If I was a man the last thing I’d be looking for is photos of sore looking boobs just after surgery. Guys that do this must be real weirdos! Lol. X

Trouble is Nina, some of our pictures are pre op so look ‘normal’ and then there’s the post op girls who are further down the line showing their fab boobs – urgh doesn’t bear thinking about!

@jd1989, if I can see someone has activity and are posting in the forums, I tend to accept them so no worries! I don’t accept anyone who has no activity on forums and just keep adding friends daily though xx

I think i also have this person on my friends list ! Im going to check my messages now as i remember having somebody add me but with no message. Will check and delete now .

sure i sent them a message thanking them for the add but not sure if they replied …

I’ve had 3 friend requests today from people with no activity except adding people! I’ve obviously rejected them all but it’s quite disturbing to me when I wonder who they really are!

I have had a request from someone with a newly made account today that has 175 friends and no forum activity at all. Be careful ladies as I can see she has added lots x

Email the mod @lisalili with the person’s name, that’s what I did and the user was removed x

Have to bump this back up again. Am still getting requests without messages or anything. A little message saying hullo, can I get permission to look at personal pictures of your boobs is not going to do any harm. Why can’t some ladies get this? xxx

Bumping this up as I went through my friends list today and deleted the profiles that were abit strange and didnt have much activity

Just noticed one of the profiles has tried to add me again? They have no pic, no info about their surgeon, clinic, PC nothing and have been on here over a month with no progress? They begin with P if people just wanna check as they have alot of people on their friends list.

Feel really bad if they are genuine but its not worth the risk if its some creep :\

Might be worth asking a Mya mod to check them out – that’s what I did with the person I mentioned earlier and their account has now been removed xx

My profile says I’m not active yet I’m on everyday. And my friend requests for some reason never work, so I made an Instagram page. Which I’ve had so many weirdos add me but I can easily just decline xx

Yeh @pennelope at the top of yours it says not recently active but underneath you’ve been replying and talking on the forum, this person’s only activity is just adding people and they have no info on their profile about their pc, surgeon, hospital just seems strange they’re going round randomly adding people,

Thanks @tracyface just reported it now, when I looked at their friends list its full of girls that have just recently had their ops done and are adding loads of pics 🙁

I had someone called HazelJack requesting friendship. Within an HR of creating his profile.
This also made me start going through my friends list. Over 170! I also realised I’ve been on this forum for almost a year! Lol and removing “friends” that havent been active for 7-8 months (don’t think they’re coming back)…

Another request received, Steiger, joined 4 hours ago, 13 friends already – ALL friends are post op…..

I am only saying this girls as I urge you to check before you add anyone, make sure they are for real before accepting. This is getting ridiculous!!

Couldn’t agree with this more ladies!! I even put a bit on my profile to say please message before adding but still get so many requests without a message or anything, it’s worrying to think who these people might really be xx

@tracyface Speaking of Steiger, I got a request again with no activity just adding friends… Anyone know if she has photos or anything? Don’t trust anyone anymore lol

@ariel her profile picture looks a little ‘pixelated’ as if it were taken off the net. These people are definitely fake. How can you go around adding friends hundreds of friends, but fail to read or post on the forums?

It’s just awful, I mean when we’re post op and happy with our new girls, we do post quite nice boobie pictures (of course!!), and to think there may be weirdos looking at them disgusts me xx

@pennelope go into your friends list and I friend or click the cross button. If she/ he requests again, don’t reject, leave it hanging. I rejected and it keeps asking!

Hey thanks for the heads up. I did accept them the other day and then deleted them straight after as it seemed really dodgy xx

It’s hard to tell sometimes if someone is genuine or not but I’ll defo b more wary xx
