Frustrated!! Anyone elses op been cancelled this Friday?

Ive just had a call from my PC to advise my Op has been cancelled this Friday – a reason wasnt given! However I have been rescheduled for Saturday 10th November- has anyone else experienced this problem? ive had such a good service from MYA so far but dont want this to be the start of their service going downhill! x

Hey, I was originally booked in for 24th nov through MYA with Dr F. But was cancelled about 10 days ago. Both me and my fiance had booked 2weeks off work etc also wasnt told a reason. They gave me a few other dates that i could choose instead so only one i could fit in with everyone (my work, partners work, mum to look after m baby etc) was 27th of oct! So i have now had op. Was pissed off that i was messed about but it did actually work out for the better. Hope your op goes well and enjoy the experience xx

Hi, In some ways it has worked out better for me but others it hasnt. Im just annoyed as you get all prepared physically and mentally and then its taken away from you so quickly! I really am hoping this is the only time it happens and i dont start getting a bad experience from now on. As i said MYA have been so great so far, its more disappointing than anything especially that a reason isnt given x x

Hey Laura. I has this problem too. I had booked schiavone for 26th July (Thursday) and had a call on the Monday 23rd July to say my op had been cancelled and that I’d be going in on the 24th or I could travel 200 miles to Preston to keep original date!! I opted for the next day, had to rearrange all work cover etc and then major panic kicked in cos it was suddenly so soon. In a way it was better long run cos it didn’t give me time to stress and worry about op. I found out that the reason it was canceled at droitwich was cos he only had two ppl booked in there, and loads more ppl booked at Preston so he’d only be working at Preston!! Hope you get it sorted xx
