I was just flicking through Allergan’s Natrelle range webpage when I came across their warranty information… I was told that Natrelles were guaranteed for life I.e they wouldn’t need changing and if ever they did that the implant would be replaced free of charge however according to Allergan they are only guaranteed for 10 years so basically I paid extra for these “medically guaranteed for life” implants when in fact I would have had the same with CUIs but been less out of pocket. I’m really angry that I was conned out of an extra £400 as I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about these implants so it was worth paying the extra only to find that in fact it wasn’t. I am disgusted with MYA or should I say Liar?

Whoever told you they were guaranteed for life? My PC made it very clear what the lifetime guarantee actually meant x

When I went for my surgical consultation I asked my PC about the difference between CUI & Natrelles and was told that they came with a lifetime guarantee so that unlike CUIs I wouldn’t need to have them replaced every 10 years and if they ruptured I’d be covered not that they were only covered for 10 years. If they’re only guaranteed for 10 years then why do we pay extra for them? I’m so disappointed that I wasn’t told the truth x

That’s terrible if they’ve lied to u! my first consultation with mya has slightly put me off and I’m now looking around at other places, I was also lied to, about prices it just doesn’t give me much faith in them as a company:/ xx

I’m not sure tbh Hun but I know they’re supposed to be changed every 10 years but it’s not a necessity so if that’s the case then why do they charge extra for implants that are only guaranteed for the same length of time -.- x

Yes I know Nicole, I’m so angry. If they’d have explained the guarantee to me I would never have paid the extra for them x

I think that means that after 10 years they will not pay towards the operation but will still replace your implants free of charge x

If you read right to the bottom the final paragraph states they will replace them up to 10 years after. X

“For peace of mind, all Allergan implants are covered by a replacement policy, which will replace free of charge any implant that needs to be changed due to loss of shell integrity resulting in rupture or any other product defect confirmed by the manufacturer, within 10 years of implantation. You should ask your surgeon for further details of the Allergan warranty programme.”

You are getting your money worth as the Naturelles are a higher quality then a cui implant more texture advantages and features and ranges. It’s like upgrades of all kinds of products. The Naturelle ranges do have a life time guarantee. Which is the life of the implant and NOT the patient! although it does say 10 years you will need a replacement at some point in your life as the substance it is made out will will go out of date and as your body changes as you age and other factors like future pregnancies weight gain and lose… There are women out there go on to live with just having one breast augmentation and even at old age not changing them so it’s how you look after them and how your body adapts to the implant also
Naturelles pay for surgical costs up to 700 pounds also and replace with any size of your choice
You are automatically enrolled into the warranty

Has anyone contacted Mya and had a statement about what is exactly covered and what they meant by lifetime guarantee?

I was told by my surgeon that its doesn’t matter which implant I get cui or natrelle that I would need them replacing at some point, this was due to my age and the changes my body will go through, providing there was no problems he recommended 15-20 years for both type of implants x

The lifetime warrnety of your implant is an extended warranty covered by MYA not Allergan. Allergan give you 10 years standard cover but MYA will replace the implant if needed, no matter how long you have it. CUI are covered for 10years, Naturelle for the implants lifetime. Implants are not a life long device, they have an expiration as they are not natural matter, so no matter how you look at your implants WILL need to be replaced, some where areound 10-15 years. Also, the warrenty covers your IMPLANT ONLY. If you have a rupture, your implant will be free but your procedure will not be, you will need to pay surgical costs ect, the warrnety takes about £700 off the total cost of a re-op. MYA cover you for Dr/surgery fees for 5years. So if you have a rupture one year in it will be 100% free of charge. IF you have a rupture 6/10/20 years on, you will need to pay the surgery costs but your implant will be free. Hope this helps.
