Get it checked??

Hi Girls,

I’m 3 days post op and generally doing well 🙂 The swelling has gone in my left breast and barely have any pain there. My right breast was the same, until yesterday evening I stupidly moved my arm behind me and the pain brought me to tears. Now my right breast is really swollen and hot, but it’s the incision! It’s constantly stinging and burning, and I don’t know if I’m just imagining but it feels wet under the strapping. I’m still taking my antibiotics and didn’t know if this was normal recovery and just leave it? Or go and get it checked at the doctors? Any advice would be really appreciated thank you 🙂 Xx

If it were me I’d call the nurse and see what she says? If you’re still worried after speaking to her then call your gp as you know your body best at the end of the day.

I had my surgery on Wednesday and decided to come back to work today as am feeling slightly better. My boobs have swelt up like crazy whilst I have been at work and the stitches feel like they are being stretched, im not sure if this is normal!! I think I will be calling the out of hours when I get home xx If you are worried I would call them hun just to be sure 🙂 xx

Oh really, wow you must be doing well to go back to work already! But yeah it was probably just too much they’re bound to swell, I’d rest them tomorrow! Yeah I’ve just tried ringing and said I think my right incisions are burning more than they should be, they offered me an appointment to go in tomorrow but that’s effort! Think I’d do myself more damage trying to go in than leaving it lol.. Just see how it goes I guess! Xx
