Hi everyone! I had my consultation with Dr Mounir today but it was only brief as I’m not planning to have my op until December so will meet with him in November to discuss whether to have under/over the muscle etc. I’m very into the gym and lifting weights, so I was wondering if anyone on here is like me and could let me know whether they had under/over the muscle please? I’ve heard that under the muscle is better for people who train but I thought it would be the other way round. I was also wondering when it’s possible to get back into the gym after the op? Thank you!!

Hey hun!! I have unders 2 weeks ago and im dying to go back to the gym already! I usually go 5 days a week but i do mostly cardio and squats i dont reallt lift heavy.. They say to wait 6 weeks but im tempted to go back next week and just do walking on the treadmill! “/ i feel like ive put on so much weight already and still pretty bloated ! I thought they say overs are better if you lift heavy! Im not 100% though! Xx

Hey chesc! I was in exactly the same position as you, I lift heavy in the gym 5/6 days a week and I’m at my strongest and best I’ve ever been physically right now and it was the only thing worrying me about going ahead with the op! The fear of not going is real!! But I did it, I’ve just had 350cc unders this morning.
I’m already dreading the thought of not being able to get back to the weights I’m currently at for a couple of months, but it’s going to be so worth it. What’s 6-8 weeks out of your life? And you have muscle memory etc so it won’t take too long to get back to where you are now (once you’re fully healed)
I spent a lot of time on here finding other girls that lift, and I also found loads of girls on insta to follow and watched video blogs from fitness girls on YouTube talking about Their experience and how they found it getting back into training and it really eased my mind. I’ve also got some ankle weights to use once I start doing some walking in a couple of weeks and I’ve worked out some lower body exercises I can do without using any of my upper body at home until I get back to normal. Anythings better than nothing.
Feel free to message me or follow me as time goes on, I’ll keep you updated with my gym progress if it puts your mind at ease a bit ???? Xx

Hi girls, thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I will definitely be getting frustrated not being able to train!! But I know it’s worth it and I’d choose the boobs and no training over just being able to go to the gym for a few weeks, because they will have a positive impact on my figure and self esteem for the rest of my life! I can’t sit still anyway so I’ll do as much light exercise as possible and gradually introduce weights back into my routine when the Dr says that’s ok. I’ll just try to remember that I have the rest of my life to sculpt my physique and a few weeks of being bloated and puffy is nothing! Will definitely look on youtube, didn’t think of that! Thank you both so much, at first I thought it would be so complicated having them done with my lifestyle. It would be absolutely fab if you could keep me updated Becki, thank you! Xxx

No problem! I’ve added you as a friend ???? you’re gonna have the rest of your life looking amazing with perfect boobs so a few weeks out is going to be totally worth it. And I don’t know if being so used to muscle aches and pains has helped me as so far I’ve had zero pain and haven’t taken any pain killers what so ever, it just feels like bad after gym soreness right now.
Good luck with your decision ???? Xx

Hiya! I’m the same, I’m 3 weeks post opp Monday and I’m going back to the gym Monday to do bike and light cardio etc. I’ve been told I can start to run and do abb exercises after 6 weeks, and very light weight, but I’ve been told to wait at least 3 months before I do any ‘heavy’ lifting. But in my opinion listing to your own body is the best thing, everyone heals differently, if it hurts stop! 🙂

Hey girls I went back to the gym after 2 weeks , only walked in the treadmill , week 3 I increased walking and I’m now on week 4 and I’m walking on the highest incline on the treadmill and been every day this week.

I’m a 6/7 day week gym freak who loves mainly cardio so driving me mad not running or cross training 🙁

Thank you all for your replies, you’ve all helped a lot. Will just do as you guys have done and ease into it slowly 🙂 I’m not a cardio lover but I do a lot of circuits with rope climbing, tyre flips, sled push and pull etc to get some cardio in and it’s easy to injure yourself doing that, even having not had a boob job! So think it’ll be a while before I can get back to that. It’s only a short period of my life and it’s totally worth it 🙂 thanks again xx

I was the same I trained 5-6 times a week with lots of heavy weights it worries me taking time out .
Cause I was in pain I didn’t go back to the gym till 8 weeks but I ate healthy and didn’t really change , I’m 10 weeks now and my fitness levels are getting back to where they were I’m starting back with the weights now although lighter and building back up .
I chilled out a little when I noticed I’d not got fat lol and I think now we paid so much for our boobies so we need to look after them so don’t panic about training xx

I”m having overs in 2 weeks. My surgeon said because I”m so active havung them under the muscle can distort and displace them over time. I”m going small though (240cc) and i have enough breast tissue to cover them so hopefully they won’t look too fake!

    Hope this helps !
