Hiya.. I was just writing a list out of things to get ready for my op then my mind just went blank haha, obviously I know about getting the macom bra, but I want to get other sizes I’m having 300/325cc so hoping I’ll be around a D cup after surgery or even a DD!! ? So shall I order both sizes? Also where else is good for buying the sports bras? ive heard m&s is good? I’m going from a 32b.

Do I need any other bits to take? I’m a day case.. Would it be ideal to take things like Pajarmers incase? And I’ve also seen a lot of girls using arnica tablets would you say i should get some? I just don’t know what to expect i just want to get my bag ready now and out the way.

Also after surgery, would you say I prepare some meals Ready? Just don’t know what to expect at all! Any tips and advice would be great

Hi Amy, I had mine done yesterday I was 34 a before hoping to be a full c or a d by the end of it. I am wearing 34 E bra today ?. All I took with me was some snacks for after (which got demolished) my phone and charger deodorant and baby wipes. I would definitely have some meals prepared for after the op and some snack foods so you can concentrate on resting. When are you having your op bet you are so excited xx

Hi Amy, I had my Op on Sunday! I bet you can’t wait now, when’s yours? πŸ™‚ I was a 32b before and I had 325cc HP unders, I’ve bought a couple of sports bras and a macom bra in a medium which is a 34 back size as I was told to get a back size bigger, I haven’t had a bra on yet though as I have strapping on so will find out Thursday when I get it all taken off if I have the right size bra!

Regarding what to take on the day, all I took was a onesie to put on after the op for ease and comfort and some slippers. (I was a day case too). I took a dressing gown but didn’t need it. The anaesthetic effects everyone different regarding appetite it seems haha. I was starving after and ate a lot but some girls lose their appetite completely! I wouldn’t prepare any meals, just see how you feel afterwards as no doubt you’ll be very sleepy anyway!

Make sure you get a V pillow! It’s a life saver, I wouldn’t have slept at all without it and I’ve had 7/8 hours each night since the Op!

I’ve stocked up on ibuprofen too and this is helping me with the pain. I was given paracetamol to take as well but all the medication was making me feel a bit sick so just on ibuprofen now!

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions chick πŸ™‚ xxxx

    Hi Amy!
I had my op on Friday! I was currently a 34B and got 350cc implants. The nurse told me to get a Macom bra in a 34 as the cup size stretches to fit you. I brought three Macom bras all in the same size and they fit perfectly! I’d recommend getting the Macom (even though they are crazy money), otherwise you spend all this money on different sized sports bras when you don’t know what size would fit!
I took pyjamas that were leggings and a really loose armed vest top so that I could literally just slip it on – this was to go home in. I also took a zip up hoodie to wear when I got discharged and my ugg boots. Take comfortable knickers and some socks!
I took magazines and some snacks, but all I did was sleep when I came out of surgery and I ate the toast that the doctor gave me, so I didn’t really need any of it. Xx

Hiya Jessica, I’ve got about 3 weeks yet haha I’m just to excited and a little impatient, just want to start finding out what I need to take and find out about what bra sizes to buy as its so hard to tell exactly what cup size I would get after.. So maybe buying a few in different cup sizes would help, My nurse told me to go by my back size which is a 32, as she was telling me about the macom ones to order would you say getting a back size bigger aswell just incase? I’m also having 325cc HP unders but also having a 300 in one boob as I’ve got chest asymmetry

Glad you’ve mentioned a onesie I would never of thought of that haha so I think I’ll defo take a onesie with me, and I’ll keep the V pillow in mind also I’ve been told to take 2 normal pillows with me for the car journey one to sit on and one to place between my boobs and the seat belt really not looking forward to the journey home it’s like 2 and half hours away so might even stay at a hotel the first night depends on how I feel

Congratulations btw ? Hope your recovering well @jcarolanx xx

Hey Amy, I had my Op yesterday. Admission was 8am, I was the first down for surgery at 10am, and home for 230pm. I took some pjs to put on after my op to come home in and a zip up hoodie. I had my iPad and lots of magazines, however I was quite fast in and only flicked through one magazine as I was very nervous! I took a chocolate bar which helped me after the op, but they do bring you toast and a cup of tea which was so yummy! I would prepare meals for afterwards, I haven’t moved since I got home apart from going to the toilet due to aches and pains, luckily I’ve got my mum running around after me. Aslong as you have comfy clothes that are easy to put on (not something over your head), and books/magazines/iPad to keep you entertained if you have to wait a while you will be ok. I took toiletries and all sorts but didn’t use any, afterwards I was a little sickly and very light headed I just wanted to be comfy in bed xxx

Oh also I have a Macom bra that I would highly recommend! It mouldes to your size and is very comfy! I was shocked at how much they are but it is so worth it, I want to get another now! Great for the first few weeks of recovery I’d imagine.. I also got a few from asda which I haven’t tried yet but feel very comfy and are only 8.00! Xxx

I would say just order your chest size now as thats how the Macom ones work. I called the nurse the day before I went in for surgery and said that I had read on here that a few girls were going up a size and she told me to stick with the 34. But it’s completely up to you. I was originally a 34, and that’s what I’m wearing now. X

I was the same, seemed ages to come to the Op day! I know I agree I still don’t know whether I need to buy some other size bras it’s really tricky! I’ll see what he says on Thursday ? Yes I’m thinking of buying another Macom bra in a 32 (S) after reading what some girls have said on here, at least then you’re guaranteed to have one that fits! ☺️

I was still sleepy when I was going home in the car and had not much pain at all so I didn’t have a pillow, I was only 20 minutes away though so for your journey I would say take one definitely!

    Thank you chick ?Xx

Hiya jade @jadepowers yeah I think I might do the same and stick with the macom bras, I’ve already got a sports bra I bought weeks ago in a D cos I was testing out the rice sizers haha and I found with some of the sports bras from shops come up to high around the boob area and I don’t want to risk rubbing my incisions, I might just order a few macoms instead and stick to them! Congrats btw & happy healing! X

    Hi @rosiex congrats! ?
I bet it’s all so worth it tho the aches and pains, yeh I think I’m gonna get some meals prepared I just don’t want to end up living on McDonald’s and take aways all week my boyfriend is looking after me so I really can’t depend on him to cook as he hasn’t got the slightest clue haha!

You was literally in and out by the sounds of it.. I really hope that’s like me when my op day comes really excited!
I’ve saw the asda ones to be fair they do look really comfy cos it’s also got the zip part on it, I went to buy one but sizes had gone, also online it’s hard to get hold off so might just keep checking up xx

Yeah I was quite lucky really, although I wanted some pre meds and they wouldn’t give it me because I was too soon in, but I managed without ? It’s A fun experience, I wish you all the best, and good luck!? Xx
