I can’t believe the lack of support I am receiving from my parents!
I have my op tomorrow, and they are now telling me to save others from the hassle of driving to collect me after the op, to just get the train there and back!
I dont understand how they are so not bothered about the procedure, Im so scared and anxious, the last thing I want to be worrying about is having to get the train home after!
How do I get it through to them that getting the train home after is an awful idea!!

When i had my op done i had minimal movement in my upper body and zero strength, my boyfriend had to open and shut the car door then put my seat belt on for me which isn’t normal he’s not that nice ha. You won’t feel yourself off the anesthetic either, keep going at them getting a train is a horrible idea x

My mum will be with me, but that still makes me feel no better about getting on the train! I just want to sit in a car and try to relax. Also the last thing I want is to see people at my local train station that I know as I don’t want anyone to know I’ve had my boobs done just yet!
I just don’t understand why I can’t have one day where my family don’t mind waiting around for me and helping me out! They have made this whole experience much more complicated for me, even about the size I’m having! So many opinions and they’ve had me in tears so many times 🙁

Hi hun, hope you get this sorted!
It’s worth noting that on page 6 of the terms and conditions it states “It is also inppropriate for you to take public transport to get home even if accompanied by a relative or friend. In the interests of your safety MYA may consider postponement or cancellation of your surgery if you are unable to arrange this and this will affect your terms and conditions”. Xx

You definitely need a car chicken. I was drifting to sleep all the way home. You’ll have no strength and probably a bit dizzy. I only had sedation too. And yes they might cancel it. I’d ring them and check before you turn up xx

You definitely need a car, I was in so much pain and in and out of sleep and it was only a 20 minute car journey! X

    Wow, thanks everyone!
I live 1hr11min drive away from the hosp, about 50 min train journey !
Apparently we are going to “play it by ear” this is just not helping, I’m a bit of a control freak as it is so the fact I don’t have a fully structured planned out day tomorrow is really stressing me out on top of the worry of being put under and sliced open haha

I’d definitely ring and tell them you don’t want to travel all that way for them to say you can’t have it. Plus if they say they’ll cancel it if you don’t, it might push your mum and dad to drive. X

I got the train home after all!
Mum just wouldn’t budge on the idea!
Hit Liverpool Street station at rush hour too, the most nerve racking experience of my life, I was genuinely shaking!

Other then that, I had a great experience with MYA , admission time was 8.30am, went down to theatre at 11, was back in my room by 1.30/2ish!

Felt extremely tired since, and pain is starting to kick in a little more now, actually more uncomfortable then painful!
Chest is just feeling really tight, can’t wait for the girls to settle down !
