Heyy my work have been really unfair with me having time off I either had to take it as holiday or get a disciplinary for being off sick with a medical note which didn’t seem right, and I told them I didn’t want to use up my holidays for it, nothing was getting sorted I never told them what op im getting as I don’t want them knowing all they know is that I’ve had an oporation etc. So in the end they’ve put me down for two weeks as bank days, but some of the girls in work have told me I’ve been conned there as it’s works way of not having to pay me for sick leave, not happy about it but oh well 🙁 also my nurse in Liverpool has wrote a medical note for me x

    Hey

I basically told my manager that I’m having a boob job and she’s ben amazing and my week off after my op is unpaid leave (didn’t want to use holiday) and my consultations in between I took as toil. I’ve just worked extra or had half hour lunches to make up the time I missed.

I’m sure if you just explain they’ll be fine!xx

From works point of view, they can’t give you time off for an elective ba and not take holiday off of you and still pay you. I’m assuming the letter is to prove what you have had done,as you would be entitled to sick pay if it was a medical operation, but a ba is not unfortunately. A colleague of mine told work and they were great and gave her a Months unpaid leave. (We have a physical job). If you don’t want to tell them then maybe take aweeks holiday….your new boobs will be totally worth the holiday you’ll have to use. Good luck xx

Holiday or unpaid leave … as it’s a cosmetic procedure you’ve chosen to have not a medical procedure you need to have. That’s what I was told. Xx
