Hey! I’m 2DPO and wondered how long will I feel this stiff and sore? I honestly cannot do anything! I expected pain, but even my arms hurt, my ribs, my stomach muscles… EVERYTHING. I even need help getting on and off the couch, in and out of bed. Any advice would be great! Just to know how long I should expect to feel like this and when I’ll become more human!?
Also… no one mentioned to me about sleeping upright. Does this apply to everyone? The nurses or mr Traynor didn’t mention it to me at the hospital? Thanks 🙂 xx

You should lay on your back for atleast 2 weeks Hun and be elevated so that you head is above your chest. I have a v pillow and put another pillow on top for my head xxx

Hey Hun, I’m having partials, but my best friend has unders and she was quite stiff and sore just the same as you. I think it’s purely because it’s more invasive going under the muscles. Hopefully it will start to ease, try and keep a bit of movement in your arms, the more you’re still the stiffer you will become.
And I’ve just looked through my paperwork I’ll upload a pic of what it suggests on my post op care sheet. I have a v pillow, I’ve even been using it before my surgery because it’s so comfy! Ha.
Hope everything goes well and your soreness starts to subside! X

The stiffness of laying flat and resting lasts for about a week. I found doing as much as I could helped me I came off all meds after day 2. i ate loads of chicken, veg and fruit. Litres of water a day. It really helped repair my muscle, sorry I’m not much help everybody recovers and does things differently… I hope it calms down, I’ve heard a few girls say day 2-3 is the worst it gets better!!! And you’ll have great boobs to show for it xxx

Thank you ladies!! I’m really hoping to eases and I feel totally useless to do anything!! I’m so active normally and busy, so this is hell for me. To be honest I’ve been lying in bed alot since the op so I’ll try moving more today and see if it helps.
    Thanks again 🙂 xx

Thanks Paige, good to know you do go back to normal. I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus! I’m going to go back to work tomorrow… on lots of painkillers as I think I need to move more as well.
How many days until you felt ok to do things like open doors/lower yourself onto the couch etc? Right now I cannot do any of it! I’m not a wimp either, but this is a struggle. Are you pleased with outcome? Shame xmas was ruined tho 🙁 xx

I was really bad after mine hun, I also had unders. I couldn’t even lift a drink to my face…I didn’t go back to work for 3 weeks after because I didn’t feel comfortable driving as it still hurt!
After that I was fine but I must say the 3rd and 4th day were the worst for me…I just kept taking painkillers and had to have my sister or boyfriends looking after me as I couldn’t do a thing!
I’m now nearly 4 months PO and still get twinges and nerve pain. Still feel a weakness in the gym in my chest but that is to be expected! Hope you get back to yourself soon!

Oh no you guys are making me so nervous! I’m going in for my unders on Tuesday in Preston with mr traynor ???? I’m also so nervous at the fact all I know is that I’m getting 300 or 325, I don’t know if their rounded, teardrop, high profile or any of this I didn’t even know there was such thing until I came on here for the first time last week! Any way of me finding out? Should I ring and ask?

Hi @fayeex don’t worry i’m in a similar position with Dr Traynor – he didn’t really mention any details about our boob specifics, only really went through all the risks and things they couldn’t be blamed for. But with regards to the profile and shape of the implant i’m sure if you call your patient coordinator they will be able to tell you 🙂 mine is Julie and she is lovely and always so quick to respond. I only found out the profile of mine when the nurse went through my notes during the pre op check.

Thank you for sharing your recovery experience, i’m so excited about the surgery I haven’t worried too much about recovery yet. But it’s good to hear what it’s really like. I hope you feel better soon Lucy!

(My surgery is in Preston with Dr Traynor too – 1st February – 350ccs – im 5ft 2 and 8.5 stone) xxx

Haha Paige, boyfriends 🙂 we do need a couple to help out ha!

Girls Mr Traynor doesn’t do teardrop, only rounds. In terms of profile, that’s based on your measurements! So it will be on your file, email your PC.

I’m feeling alot better today since changing my painkillers to some hardcore ones! Huge, huge difference. I can move around ok now thank goddess. Still sore, but I’m able to move at last!

I had unders but everyone is so different I took at ice and have a high protein diet I was sore especially in the morning but able the next day to get up move around, do the washing up, dress myself etc. I lifted my arms above my head as soon as drains were out as read this helped and made myself as mobile as possible. First thing in the morning was always hard as sleeping on your back your so sore and stiff so even now I need pain killers first thing but once I’m up and about I’m pretty mobile so try not to worry. It’s silly things like opening the calpol for my son this morning as I don’t have the chest muscle strength. Your be surprised how much you can do as long as you don’t stop completely and make sure you rest but do little jobs but don’t do lifting or heavy things

Thanks Jules! Yesterday and today i have noticed huge improvements in everything. I can move and not too sore now… I think I panicked on Tuesday as I literally couldn’t move and I freaked out. But I woke up yesterday feeling better immediately. I’ve not been taking so many painkillers and managing ok and even went back to work today 🙂 x

Glad your feeling better 🙂 I think the more mobile you are the better. I think a high protein diet definetly helps as my incisions have healed well too 🙂
