Hi girls, I noticed rippling more or less in the first couple of weeks post surgery at the top of my implants but it wasn’t too bad and when my new boobs are supported in a bra, you can’t see it at all.

However, it’s getting worse bra less and more so on my left boob, which still does not feel completely me yet and hasn’t dropped fully ,in my opinion, as my incision scar ,when I lift that arm , is still about an inch lower than my new boob and the skin at the top of this implant feels all bumpy at the top and causes me discomfort off and on . I see my surgeon on Saturday for the first time since my op (3 month post op). From girls who have experienced rippling, is this something I will have to live with or are there any options the surgeon may offer to improve the appearance xx I know I’ll get all my answers on Saturday but just wanted to know if any girls have had rippling post op and how yours is now ? xx

Thanks Mod, I see my surgeon on Saturday at 12.40pm at Manchester so can wait til then to discuss with him, it’s just I wanted to hear of other girls experiences with rippling beforehand as it has started to bother me a little bit now as it’s getting worse as time passes. Many thanks for offering to help beforehand though xx

Hi Sharon I had my 6 week check with mr traynor 3 weeks ago and mentioned rippling, he said everyone has is as the implant isn’t full, it’s more noticeable with overs and I was told to watch my weight and I don’t have a lot of tissue around the implant and he said if I did lose weight that’s when it would become more noticeable, made me wonder why he didnt give me unders if there wasn’t much tissue xx

Ps my right boob which is the one with rippling also feels strange as you’ve described about yours I can feel it moving and it hasn’t dropped as much I think, mr t said they were fine though x

Aw thanks Peeps, I couldn’t have unders because I had too much saggy tissue , which risked double bubble so overs was the only real option, I was told about possible rippling but thought it wouldn’t have been so noticeable and especially not at the top of the implants. I can make it disappear with a good bra but am self-conscious a little about it when I’m bra-less although it doesn’t bother my hubbie, just me. I only had my 6 week check with the nurse as my surgeon only sees his patients after 3 months unless you need to see him before. My ripples look a bit like a draining board effect but worse on the left than the right. It’s weird how one boob feels so different to the other isn’t it? I can feel my problem one pressing against my bra cup but not the other one – strange, just hope it drops a little bit more so its in the incsision crease and this might make it feel better. I’ve just noticed that we both have the exact same implants too and I think these are the best to reduce rippling although I’ve read than smooth soft touch implants reduce traction rippling which I think’s going on with me. I think the textured surface is clinging to my tissue and causing the ripples? Do you mind if I add you hun and I’ll let you know how I get on with Mr Mounir on Sat x

Ah right I see so that could cause the pain when moving, how strange. I was only an a cup but too had extra skin from pregnancy you could literally pull my skin out 3 inches ha ha so i guess thats why i had to have overs as well. Yeah no problem thanks huni let me know what he says xx
