Hi girls, I’ll be 5 weeks post op on Monday and just wondering if it would be okay to go braless this evening for literally about 2/3 hours?! I would probably wer a bodysuit of something but wearing these sports bras is driving me mad they don’t feel big at all when I’m wearing one and they’re not flattering at all! But it’s m first proper time out since my op and I want to look good ??
    Any advise?! Xx

At 4.5 weeks I was advised to make sure I only had my sports bra off no more than 4-10 mins at a time so I had to wear long sleeves and high neck with my sports bra which was annoying because I can’t wait to show them off! I’m 6 weeks on Wednesday and can wear a normal bra then on special occasions (had my 6 week po app today, a bit early) but need to avoid wiring as much as possible. Was also told to sleep in sports bra and that going bra less can cause aches and pains xx

Oops I’ve been braless a couple of times already for a few hours at a time. I find the Macoms I have are so uncomfortable and hurt me so I’ve been having a short break from them every now and again. I went braless on my birthday as well at 19 days post op while I went out for a meal xx

I’ve been taking me sports bra off too to give my squashed boobs a break as becoming sore and uncomfortable ?

@chloemoore might be a stupid question and I feel like I should know this but why do we have to avoid wiring? Is it just because of the incisions ?

You will be fine to do that! You’re only a week short & it’s only a couple of hours don’t worry about it too much. I had a night out earlier on than that without a bra & it done me no harm xx

I think so, also to avoid padded bras as they can make the implant sit somewhere it shouldn’t xx

@lucy the reason we have to avoid wiring is because if our boobs drop whilst wearing them our boobs will mould to that shape! So as the wiring will push them up a bit that’s how they will sit. I got told that before
I have my 6 week check on Monday and I think even after that I’ll probably still wear the sports bra day to day. It will just be on nights out I will wear a nice bra! Xx
