    Hiya!
I had my ba last Monday and I’m still in a strap and band but no bra.
Anyway my question is I’m having the strapping off on Thursday (hurray!!) and will wear a sports bra after that.. but I’m meant to be going out on sat night, do you think I’ll be ok for a few hours with either no bra or a normal one instead of having to wear a sports one? They are not the sexiest/ easiest things to cover!!
    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks xx

I honestly wouldn’t risk it, I’m 3 weeks post op and still wouldn’t go braless x

I just find it a bit confusing as I don’t have to wear a bra at all at the min, just the strap over the top I have nothing underneath, only dressings over nipples (I had areola incision) .. So part of me thinks I will have been bra-less for 2 weeks (nearly) so would a couple of hours make a huge difference, or would a real bra ?? But I don’t want to mess my new additions up either!! 🙂 x

I had strapping and a bra after my surgery – strange how some surgeons do things differently. Just over 3 weeks post op and I would not risk going without a bra for a few hours. x

I went on a night out at 2 weeks and I just bought a lower cut sports bra and i was comfy all night without stressing about the girls being damaged!! 😀 x

I wouldn’t risk it personally, maybe u cud get a dif sports bra to fit under outfit? I bought one from matalan for 4 quid and is normal bra strap and really low cut, although is only low impact but better than nothing?

Might sound like I’m being thick but risk of what? I’m not wearing any bra now so I find it a bit confusing? If it is any risk I’ll definitely wear one but if in not wearing one now what would be the difference? Xx

You wouldn’t need a sports bra on at the minute. As that’s what’s the strapping is for ! As soon as that strapping comes off youl need to wear your sports bra for 6 weeks until you can wear a bra! It’s. It work the risk. It’s up to you if you wants to have that chance of getting banged into etc and then not having them supported so soon after surgery it really isn’t worth it xx

Sometimes surgeons don’t like you to wear bra for them to be able to drop, but U don’t want them to drop to much x

I know I’ve been told I can go braless for the evening at 15 days po. Just can’t be dancing around like a lunatic lol. I will see how I feel and how well I feel supported in my outfit. I have heard so many different things from professionals and non professionals xx
