Got admission time!!

11:30 Tuesday at Preston seems more real now! Does anyone know a rough time I could be leaving at ? I hope not too late! I am wearing a long top/dress that buttons all the way upfront with either toghts or leggings and gonna take some slipper socks with me… I am taking : sports bras/macoms, v shape pillow and blanket for in car on way home plus snacks/drinks for way back, then phone/charger, mags ect.. Is that everything seems too little lol? Thanks xx

Not long at all! Good luck for Tuesday. I left about 6-7 hours after admission I think.

Make sure to take a normal pillow for on the way home to put in between your boobs and the seatbelt, other than I think that’s everything 🙂 try and get something with ginger in it in case you feel sick on the way home xx

Genuine question because I’m confused when I see people say they’re having their op in Preston, I thought Mya’s hospitals were in Manchester and London, that’s what I was told at my consultation?
Not that it matters to me, I’ll be operated on in London, I just wondered 🙂

I went to Manchester for my consultation and to meet my surgeon, my nurse is also there but I went to Preston for my operation xx

My surgery is in Preston too, had my consultation in Nottingham though xx

Thanks girls 🙂 I’m gonna stock up on lucozade as always makes me feel better when I’m ill or drained! And thanks will put a normal pillow in to then ! And yea I had my consultations in Manchester and then surgery in Preston, think it depends on what surgeon your having? May be wrong xx

also does anyone know if its no food and drink for 6 hours or can you have water up till 2 hours before? I’m sure i read that somewhere??? thanks xx

yes that’s right no food or drink 6 hours before but u can have water up to 2 hour before.

My admission time was 11.30 and I went down for op at 2.30. I had had tea and toast by 5pm. I was an overnight stay but would have probs been ok to go home by 6/7pm.

Not long now! My admission was 11 am at highgate yesterday. I arrived at 10 and went down to theatre at 2.15 and was back in my room by 4 PM. Didn’t get discharged until 9pm. Good luck and enjoy the experience 🙂 xxx

thanks for confirming @laurag26 didn’t think i could go with absolutely anything even water lol, i’m only a day case so hoping not to get back too late 😀 , @lauralou89x wow you arrived early hehe, i’m thinking of going for quarter past 11, i hate being mega early!! and arhhh it just varies so much like there is no timescale is there, i can just live in hope that i’m not in there for ages, my mum will be ballooning haha & thanks i’m trying not to be as nervous now and just be excited about it all and enjoy it instead 😀 xxx

Yer I was greedy day before and had a kfc for dinner and dominos for tea then had last drink if water before 9 as admission timewas 11.30

hehe, ye i think i will be doing the same laura, don’t know how am gonna go that long without eating ha… and ye i will do a pint of water at 9, so i’m ok for 11:30…just a waiting game now…been blitzing my house all day so it’s more organized for when i will be back home! x

Yer i did that too and then it ended up a state afterwards lol.

i know @stephanie29 this time tomorrow i will be packing my stuff into car!!… i woke up with a blocked nose this morning its gone now but got me worried, but looked online and supposedly will be okay, as long as I haven’t got a really bad chest/throat or nose and i haven’t got a temperature… just gotta hope for the best, i do not want to go and then not be able to have my op!!, other than that i am excited and a tiny bit nervous hehe xx

good luck hun. My admission time was 10am and I was in theatre by 1045 and awake at 1pm them picked up just after 4pm xx

I never thought about the possibility of being bad when I was due. But you saying bad chest/ throat and nose. I’m currently on antibiotics with a chest infection! And slight raised temp! Yeah I would be so gutted!!
Do you live far from the hospital?

@mummyox yeah.it will be the nerves lol and I have to wait a few days to see if I have the money Then.going to book my appointment with the surgeon do you have to pay out to see the surgeon like a deposit? Xx

@sarahstevo, i booked after seeing surgeon for in 8 weeks time (paid deposit of 500), i then paid the remaining balance of 15 days before my op, but you have to discuss when your paying with your PC so they know, i think as long as it’s paid before 2 weeks its ok, but you have to let them know xx

@mummyox oh well that’s good I am going for the date where they pick I think its of they get a cancelation and then you go in I think not sure ow it works xx

@sarahstevo ye i got that offer cause i was originally doing that cause i was getting half on mya special but then i sorted all money out myself so still got offer.. if you want a late space offer just ask your pc which dates are available in that month and go from there xx

@mummyox I know just my poor family and my partner its all I have gone on about. my partner came to bed and I was asleep n said to him thanks for paying for my boobs and he said I haven’t lol what u on about then I said nnooo that’s what I am gunna say to them thanks for my boobs lmao!! even sleep talking about them hahaha!! xx
