Paid my deposit today – op is in 3 weeks. I am a massive fitness freak and I know it sounds really silly but I’m really worried about weight gain. I train 6 days a week so I’m scared being out the gym for 6 weeks will be too much. Does anyone have any diet or exercise tips for post op. Xx

I am exactly the same as you! I train 6 days and follow a strict diet plan, my op is a week today and I’m dreading the 6 weeks after not being able to train! Obviously I’m not gonna push myself and possibly cause damage but I’m worried about weight gain too!xx

    Same!!!
I’m 8 weeks post op and started again last week. It’s absolutely broken my soul not going but it’s not worth chancing it!!

I just stuck to a strict high protein low carb diet (1-2 cheat meals a week). High Protein is great too for healing!! After your operation you probably won’t fancy eating much for the first week anyway as the antibiotics can sometimes make u feel a bit sticky so I wasn’t too fussed.

    Hope this helps xx

    I train 6 days a week , it’s killing me not going !
I’m on week 3 all I’ve done is follow my diet plan still but just reduce the amounts as I’m not training , drink plenty of water and go for a walk everyday .
So far I’ve not put weight on obviously apart from the implants
I was very bloated for a week and a bit after but think that was the meds and its gone now .
My concern was that I may loose the muscle I worked hard to gain but to be honest I think I’ll go back and not really look any different as my diets right .
So don’t worry as long as you don’t stuff your face you’ll be fine xxx

I’ve got my PT to do me a diet plan so I have something to stick too and I’m gonna make sure I’m having lots of protein! I’m gonna try my best to go for walks etc. But nothing to strenuous. It’s reassuring hearing that you girls haven’t gained weight, it was one of my biggest worries! I don’t think you’ll lose your muscles and If you do your muscles have muscle memory so won’t take long to get it back! I’m hoping I don’t crave junk cos I feel lousy. Some girls have been bloated for 3/4 weeks, I hope I’m not like that! ? xx

I lost nearly a stone since my operation but that’s coz I do quite a lot of heavy weight training so it’s muscle I’ve mainly lost but a week into the gym and I’m back to lifting the same as before so doesn’t take too long, just first few days back proper kill yo compared to before, makes you realise how fit you were before!!

I didn’t really get the bloated but a lot of girls do like Donna said because of the painkillers.

As long as your diet is on point you will be absolutely fine xx

It’s so reassuring to hear so many girls are in the same boat as me!! I ordered another tub of the slender blend by proteinworld today. I used it before going on holiday to help with muscle repair as I was training really hard so I’m thinking I may use it as a meal replacement in the evenings. Really hoping i can at least go for walks ! I’m killing cardio right now in preparation!!

I am just over 3 weeks post op. I am managing to go for a walk most days now after not doing anything at all for the first two weeks. I was off my food when I wasn’t doing much exercise. I am only 2lb heavier today than before my op but that will be the weight of the implants. I’m waiting until 6 weeks before doing anything more than walking as I don’t want risk any injuries.
