Hiya. Bit of a random question, but I’m having my operation on Tuesday and I’m not sure what I’m meant to do about having a shower? I’m sure at my pre op my nurse told me to wash as normal the day before, and if I really want a shower the day of my op just to use nothing but water. But looking in the booklet I was given when I booked my op, it says to use antibacterial wash the day of surgery? Anyone know what the rules are? Can I have a normal shower tomorrow (Monday) night, then just use water Tuesday morning?

I know it’s only a small thing but I don’t want to do anything wrong!! 🙂

There’s a soap called cidal (spelling may not be correct) which I was told to use the morning of my surgery and that I can use it after too 🙂 it’s in boots and you get two bars for £1.50 I believe :)! X

I had a super scrubbing shower with all my lovely products the night before, they never said anything about using just water. You’ll be fine showering in the morning just don’t put any perfume or deodorant on xxx
