Help! Do partials get smaller in time or bigger?

I’ve heard they go down due to selling, but have heard unders get bigger in time. Is this the same for partials too?

No I just hope they don’t go down too much cause I like how they are haha the nurse said I’ve hardly got any swelling though so shouldn’t 🙂 I’m just not sure if they get bigger when they drop and fluff xx

Ahh fab!! So are you not in too much pain? & do u recommend going for the 375’s? Coz I was worried they might be too big xxx

No definitely go for the 375’s! I would have been disappointed with anything smaller.
I’m just very stiff and uncomfortable.
I’ve been sick absolutely all over my car aswell ?? oops!!! Xxx

Hi i hope they dont get smaller i got 375hp partials on friday and i want them to get bigger they look awful all cone shape. Im glad i managed to get 375cc as the surgeon didnt know if he would be able to fit them inside me.
Kelly what pain medicine are u taking if ur taking codine or cocodimol it will make u sick? Xx

Ahhh being sick is awful, it may be codeine? It can’t make you feel really sickly. On s plus, your pics are mint!!! They look fab ? totally worth it.

I’m 8 days PO and swelling has gone down a bit (still some at the top) but I don’t think they’ve changed in size yet. I love mine too so hope mine don’t!

Had my PO appointment with the nurse last night and all is good, you won’t believe how fast a week goes!!

I can’t have codiene because it makes me sick etc, call your GP see if they can offer you tramadol or something else? 🙂 Happy healing xxx

Hi try your doc to see if they can offer you something else tramadol can also make you sick. All im taking is ibroprofen at meal times and then paracetamol before bed. Try taking no codine today and just taking ibroprofen and paracetamol and see how you get on. Xx

@ashleighk28 thank you! Yeah I’m gonna try that! I’ve managed abit more toast this morning so hopefully keep that down! I had one co-codamol when I woke up around 8ish so I’m not gonna take anymore today and hopefully can manage in just paracetamol and ibuprofen. I feel sickly when I stand up too so I’m hoping this will settle if I stop taking them xx

Hey, @kelly-93 the nurse told me not to take the co codamol unless I had eaten as it will make you sick if you take it on an empty stomach. I made sure I ate lots before each pill and I was ok. Everybody is different though. Hope you feel better soon! I had a look at your pics, they look great. Mine are a similar shape and also very perky. I’m day 7 so am going to see the nurse later 🙂

Oh really! That might also be the problem then haha my left incision is giving me a lot of pain today ? were on our way home now so can’t wait to put my ice packs on!! Aw thanks 🙂

Glad youre happy! She just took the plasters off had a feel of them took pics and explained how to treat them now. Was in and out in 10 mins xxx

I’m just over 3wks PO and had partials. Still measure the same I would just say mine have just gone softer rather than stiff and stuck on lol they haven’t shrunk!! Happy about that lol!! Good luck with your recovery xx

Hey, the nurse took the strapping and bandages off and checked the incisions. She then let me look in the mirror and took photos. She also talked through showering, massaging etc and booked me in for next week @kelly-93. Hope ur feeling better x

The pain has eased so much its more when i do certain movements now. Day 2 & 3 i wanted to cry i didnt think i was going to get through it. Now im back at work and just find sleeping awkward. Just persevere and youll be fine xxxx

@brittanyx when did the pain get better for you? Or when could you start doing more things for yourself?
I can’t wait to be able to get up on my own! It’s day 2 for me today and definitely worse than yesterday, so much pain! ? xx

About day 5 I felt much better. The only pain I really have is tight tugs when I move in certain way and my nerves are starting to come alive again so keep getting electric shocks in my nipples haha.
Today and tomorrow will be the worst but you’ll get through it! I kept my tablets up constantly (even set alarms through the night), I didn’t want the pain to come worse and struggle to get rid of it.

@kimbers hello! I’m in absolute agony today, a lot worse than yesterday, I can barely move at all! My mams coming over soon to wash me down with wipes and do my hair etc, I feel so grotty! I can’t wait until I can do things on my own again, my arm movements are very very restricted today xx

Oh no, I feel for you. So u can’t even manage to wash your face or brush your teeth? Thank god for mams, where would we be without them?! I’ve already enlisted the help of my mam & friends coz I’ve got a 3 year old son to look after! I hope you’re better tomorrow, let’s hope today is your worst day & once u get thru today, it’s only upwards from then on xx

I know, lifesavers! My boyfriend has been amazing with me but he’s had to go back to work today, so I’ve got mine and his mam taking shifts until he gets back from work haha I have a 2 year old aswell but he’s been dead good with me bless him! I can’t see how I can get worse than this so hopefully this is my worst ? I can’t wait to be out of pain xx

Ahh it’s surely got to be much more difficult when you’ve got kids to think about!! I’m constantly worried About how I’ll manage not picking him up for 12 weeks ? & who can look after him for the first couple weeks.
My hubby has the first 3 days off with me & then it’s mams turn! They say day 3 is the worst, so this is your third day now, get thru today (you’re more than half way) & you’ll be fine!! There’s not one person I know who’ve said they wouldn’t do it all over again, so it’s clearly all worth it! Nothing in this world, worth having-is easy or painless ?
Can’t wait to see pics after a week or so to see how they’re settling.
Julie just called to postpone my op til the 20th August, it’s dragging!

Hii im on day 5 now pains gardly there just stiffness. Only thing is right at the top of my chest nect to my armpit on my left side it hurts i means sharp stinging pain hurts. Im not on any pain killers now. Why cant u pick your son up for 12weeks? Xx

@kimbers yeah he keeps saying “mammy better now?” Haha and he knows he can’t cuddle me/climb on me so just keeps coming over and kissing my hand haha ☺️

I’m taking ibuprofen, paracetomol and morphine now to try ease the pain!

Iv always been able to use my arms. Morning after my consultant walked into my room and i was doing my hair. I still help hubby with kids like make there breakfast and stuff and bath and put them bed at night i have a 4yr old and a nearly 2 yr old. This week iv been by myself from 7-5 as hubbys been at work and kids at childminder but i can do anything within reason not quite back to being cinderella yet haha. Im only taking paracetamol before bed now hopefully il be off them
By friday xx hope ur heeling starts speeding up xx

@ashleighk28 hi! the nurse told me at my pre-op 12 weeks minimum for any lifting, she said 6 weeks is just for the incisions to be ‘sealed’ but absolutely no lifting or intense exercise for at least 12 weeks!! She said I can walk or swim after 6 weeks but that’s it ? I’m gutted coz I go to gym lots so was expecting to have to take 3 months out? Is this not what you were advised? Out of interest, did you have overs/unders or partials? I hear overs is less painful recovery. (Apparently)

I’m not sure why surgery has been postponed kelly, but it’s only by a few days. Bless your boy kissing your hand. So canny. Mine will be bouncing on mine, he’s a right flighty bugger ? x

@ashleighk28 oh god I’m so jealous that you can do all of that! I can’t stand up without feeling sick and dizzy ? I never thought it would hurt this much, my left is causing me so much pain! My right is absolutely fine!
Haha it’ll be a long time until I’m Cinderella again! I can’t be left by myself at all because I can’t even lift my own drink up or anything by myself, it’s being a nightmare for me so far! I can’t wait until my recovery speeds up!! Xx

My surgeon said after 6 weeks im fine and i had unders i need to lift heavy stuff with my job as im military i took 5 weeks off though so should be ok when i go back to work.

Is the one thats giving me the stabbing pains. Id love to be back to cinderella my house is a bloody mess haha spesh with having a bloody parrot it needs a good hoover il try tomoz to do a little bit of hoovering. I was suprised kelly my nurse was like call me for a drink,fluffing pillows and getting out of bef but i was able to do it all myself but surgeon says its good to move about as its good for healing i honestly thought the pain was going to be worse than labour but everyones pain tollerence is different mines is really high xx

@kimbers I know! I honestly didn’t think I would be this bad, I’m trying to push myself and be strong but I just can’t! I spoke to nurse on the phone earlier and she said its normal apparently.
I just said to my boyfriend I would rather be in labour!! I could handle it better haha

@ashleighk28 yeah I’m getting the shooting pains in my left aswell, and my left nipple is really sore! Oh god what a nightmare haha I’ve had my mam and nana over today doing my housework and washing bless them! ?
Oh I wish mine was like yours I’m finding it really difficult and wasn’t expecting it to be like this xx

Are you staggering your tablets? You can take codeine, paracetamol & ibuprofen together, might help taking codeine, then after an hour & 15mins, take the paracetamol, then another hour 15mins after that take the ibuprofen, then the next hour & 15 you’re due codeine again, and repeat that cycle?? A friend suggested this to me today, she did same after her op xxx

@kimbers that sounds good! I’ve been taking paracetomol and ibuprofen every couple hours in between. Might try codeine from tomorrow aswell. I just hope in not like this for much longer I can’t cope ha fed up now!! And I’m barely eating anything either cause of how sick I feel.
Yeah I can’t wipe myself after the toilet either haha ? it’s a nightmare being so dependant on other people! Xxx

Hi kelly I am 7 months post op with 375 partials. I would say they seem to shrink as the swelling goes down to week 6 but then at week 11 they got bigger as the muscle relaxed.
At 6 week check I got measured 32e so bought some bras but then by week 11 they where too small so now a 32f. My biggest advise is patience is key! When you get the all clear to wear bra don’t buy too many. And remember your sports bra is your best friend I still where mine 24/7 as after paying all this money I want to look after my new additions x

Hi amy! Oh wow really!? That’s good to hear haha oh I definitely won’t go out and buy a load of bras then I’ll be patient and wait abit longer just to be sure of actual size.
What sports bra do you use? Do you sleep in it also? I’ve been wondering if I should still wear one after my 6 week check x

Hi Kelly so pleased you managed to find a suitable placement etc … You must be over the moon that it’s now all done 🙂 … Sorry to hear you’ve been sick though hope it soon clears up for you! And with regards to placement … I think with partials and unders they do get bigger during healing as when first done the muscle is very tense around the implant (giving them the hard & stiff feeling) and with time and healing it starts to relax allowing the implant and breast to take its natural shape/size xx

Hi kelly I have 2 shock absorber ultimate run and a few cheap USA pro ones. You have to ween yourself into underwired bras as they feel so uncomfortable after. My surgeon said at my 12 week check if I felt comfortable I coujd go to bed braless. But I never slept braless pre op so feels uncomfortable to me.
Post op I had paracetamol and ibuprofen the antibiotics I took made me feel sick if I didn’t eat before I took them.

Shock ab run bra all the way chick but make sure u get fitted up for it b4 or after your op as important to have the right width size xx
