Hi right I’m really starting to stress a bit, I’m getting an uplift on 5th April, all being well. However my sister dropped a massive bombshell on me that she’s having to move her hen weekend to that of the 14th/15th (this is due to work, it wasn’t supposed to be til end of May). As it’s only going to be 9 days after my op, has anyone got any advice what I should do? I know I shouldn’t bother, but it’s my sister and I’m a bridesmaid! Has anyone had any experience of drinking/going out so soon after? X

What’s the hendue doing? Activities etc? I was still very restricted in my movement on day 9 and still very bloated but pain wise asside from the back pain from sleeping I was fine. It hard to say as everyone reaction to the op is different. Does your sister know about you op and support it? X

Yeah she does, it’s just like an evening meal on the Friday, then like a spa day and night out on the Saturday. I know I won’t be able to go in the pool obviously, I’m just worried about the drinking and going out part. One of my friends went out like a week after she had hers done and wore 2 sports bras, but then I’ve seen girls on here saying they were still in pain! so it seems it really does just depend on the person. It’s not like I’ll be diving all over the place, just wary of other people bumping into me aswell I suppose xx

Just see how you are hun. If you can completely rest for 1st week to give you the best chance of speedy recovery you might be fine. Limit your booze so you know you pain levels whilst your out and if it gets too much you could just slope off early. Id deffo still wear your sports or surgery bra tho so maybe shop for an outfit round that ???? xx

Ah yes I will thank you! Good idea about limiting the booze, I’m not much of a drinker anyway but that’s good advice. I’m definitely gonna wear my surgery bra, I bought the macom ibra last night after hearing good reviews. Thanks again! Xx
