Help- puss out of scar?.

I’m 6 weeks po today and everything ha gone smoothly and great… Til tonight I just realised my scar looked a bit redder than normal when I took my sports bra off after gym had shower Etc then i looked closer and there’s like a pinprick hole but when i pushed softly on it a bit of yellow puss came out then bit of blood after…it’s not a lot at all but obviously its infected right??. I rang the helpline but she didn’t say much other than put a dry dressing on and ring my clinic in morning to go and get checked but I’m working tomorrow amd cant get out of work so this is a problem!! I have my6 week check on Tuesday so will see my nurse then..but hasanyone had the same thing? Plz shell I could cry with worry feelin really upset about it!! 🙁

i had fluid coming out of mine, not puss tho, puss is sign of an infection if its thick and yellowy, if its more watery like fluid, this could be seroma, please dont panic tho, both easily treated, i had seroma and im healing ok now touch wood!!
but i would ring ur nurse again and try see her tomoro rather than tuesday as the quicker ur seen the better, xxx hope your ok xx

Hey girls sorry for not replying! but yeh I’m ok I spoke to themnurse she said its not always infected just because puss comes out she didn’t seem that bothered but its hardly anything I think I over reacted Lol! had it dressed since Friday and Changed it twice since and there been nothing on the dressing at all so hopefully it wil close up again nicely…I’m going to see nurse today so see what she thinks…but Katy lee I’m really happy with the boobs and nothings happened at all until this but its just a minor thing I’m hoping I Can go and get measured and buy some nice bras today after my 6 wk check !!woooop!! Gd luck for weds ul b fine its a great experience. Vicky how’s ur boobies now?has Ur seroma gone?? Xxx

hi sorry for late reply, yea we sometimes panic ourselves us women lol
i was taken down to surgery the day after i leeaked fluid so they acted pretty fast and my scar has healed very well and doesnt seem swollen now so i can only hope it doesnt come back

Ye i had that aswell, they normally heal on their own if they’re small, i’m 2 months post op and i’ve just had a little infected hole, it scabbed over at the minute, i didn’t put anything on mine, don’t worry too much, it’ll be fine x
