I think it does depend mostly on what size you want to go to and how wide your chest is. From what we’ve managed to work out, the less prolific (how far it sticks out) the implant, the wider it is at the base. The more prolific the thinner it is at the base.
So a 400cc moderate implant would be smaller and stick out less than a 400cc high profile, despite them technically being the same size.
If you have a narrow ribcage the moderate implants will come under the armpit and won’t fit in your chest properly so you do have to have one thinner at the base; a moderate+ or high profile. Though I think (could be wrong) that there is only a centimetre or so between the two.
I think this is why some people who were the same size before have say, 500cc and look huge whilst some won’t look as big. It’s very confusing, all this boobie business!
This might be why our surgeons have chosen for us which profile implant we will have, because they will fit in our chests best. I’d say contact your surgeon/consultant and ask about it. They’ll undoubtedly know more! I just wanted to see some piccys to see if I was right about the higher profile looking less natural 🙂
