Hospital stay

Hi can anyone give me an insight to the hospital? Do you have to stay in, visitors,staff ect any info appreciated.

Having my first consultation on Friday! X

Oh also do you go back to the hospital or clinic for check ups x

I was a day case,I think that’s usually the case.. I was at Preston and my checkups are at the Manchester clinic xx

You get an admission for afew days before, get there for that time, your visitor can wait with you till you go down then they are taken to the family room and brought back up when you’ve come round x

Hey again i was a day case, admission time was 7am and left at 5pm only because i couldn’t eat for ages ( you have to eat,wee and drink before they discharge you), visitors can stay till you have your op then leave for roughly an hour/hour and a half then come back when you are recovering in your room. you have check ups one week after, six weeks after and twelve weeks after and if everything goes ok i think you get signed off on week 12. Also if your not healing well at your first check up they make an appointment two weeks after surgery xx

Thanks girls!. Quite a relief I won’t have to go London for check ups don’t think I could cope haha. Hopefully I will be in and out too!. Glad my other half can stay somewhere in the hospital and wait for me 🙂 x
