    Hello,

How have you ladies found having the BA and then having to look after your little one? I’m almost 100% that I want to book surgery but this is one thing I’m worried about! How long until you feel you are back to normal? X

Hiya huni, everybody finds its completely different I had unders over 2 weeks ago, I have a 7 year old and he had to stay with this dad for a week, then had to get a family to come and help me take care of him, I couldn’t do anything for myself let alone take care of him, I’ve seen on here that lots of people with babies have had it done. What are you thinking of having done Hun xxxx

Hi thanks for replying! I’ve got a 2 and a half year old and Ive been offered 350cc overs with a choice of high profile or moderate plus! I was wanting to get it done at the beginning on June but mr Marcelino is booked until the middle/end of June apperantly so think I will wait until September now which is a bummer but just thinking of taking holiday and having childcare! Xx

I have a two year old and a 5 month old baby. My operation is tomorrow, I’m absolutely bricking it! But my main worry is the kids and how I’ll cope. A few other mums on here have said they’ve managed one way or another but I just hope it really is manageable.
Feel free to add me and I can let you know I get on with them xx

Had mine yesterday I have a 4 and 5 year old and luckily they are fullyaware of what I have had done and are able to dress themselves. Its horrible not being able to hug and cwtch them because I’m so sore but glad I waited until they could understand and now they are helping me, bless. Hope all goes well.

Are any of you having overs? I heard it’s less time for recovery? I’m guessing it might just depend on the indicidual! Xx

Hi I’m having my BA next Sunday. I have a 19 month old and am a single parent. I do however live with my mum and she has a week off of work. I’m having overs so hope I recover quickly. I’m going with Dr Marcellino. He said to rest for the week to avoid bleeding. I’m really hoping I’ll make a quick recovery as Phoenix doesn’t understand and jumps all over me. I am so nervous about this aspect! Feel free to add me for updates xx

I had my surgery just under a month ago now, I have a 1 year old & 2 year old….. It was HARD!!! Still is sometimes when I get a bit achy after running after them all day!! If you can get help then take all the help you can as you don’t want to injure yourself or delay the healing! I wayyyy overdone it from day 3 onwards and have delayed the healing in my left boob as I fell over on it from not taking it easy!! Overs is meant to be an ‘easier’ recovery than unders (I had unders)… Just take it easy & rest up after as much as possible! Xxx it got much easier from about 10days po, I felt like I was capable enough to look after them by myself by then xxx

Ah Kari you’ll be fine ☺️ From what I can gather overs are less painful afterwards though people with overs may disagree with that I don’t know – I had unders and was totally useless for the first few days, I had a 2&3 year old who have turned 3&4 pretty much straight after my op so I was super busy, I had help full time with them for the first 3 days or so and after that I was pretty much on my own as my partner works long hours into late evening – we just manage don’t we, I don’t know how! It was really hard but it really wasn’t for very long at all, just be as prepared and organised as you possibly can be before the op ☺️ Xxx

How did you all get on girls ?! I’ve realised I have more holiday for work than I oringinally thought and going to book two weeks off maybe more just so I feel more normal! Also have my other half and mum to help me so feeling lucky and more excited now!! How did the operations go for all of you? And how is it with the little ones?! Xxx

I had to come and stay with my mam for the first week as i literally couldnt lift my little one at first so couldnt have managed having to carry her around the house with me, but if you have a partner or someone at home with you that can do the lifting it will make your life so much easier! I was able to lift her around day 6/7 i think, im on day 12 now pretty much back to normal i just take abit longer to do things with her etc ? good luck!! X

I had unders last Monday so 7 days ago. I have a 7 month old and a two year old. It’s hard. I couldn’t do anything at all last week and my friend is looking after baby for three days this week as I can’t lift him so make sure your prepared with emergency childcare xx

Hey, so a little update 🙂 I had my operation 12 days ago, 425cc overs. My partner was off work for the first week and helped with everything. I literally didn’t lift a finger all week. Today is my first day alone with my two (5 months & 2yrs) and trusting today to be the day they both take in turn so scream! But I am coping fine, I’m not lifting my baby either as I’m to scared I’ll cause myself damage. I’m managing by feeding him in his bouncer and laying him on the floor for bum change and play time. I think you’ll be fine, it was my biggest worry and I’ve managed.
I’d say I was about 9/10days PO when I felt back to normal and now it’s like nothing’s changed.
Feel free to private message me 🙂
Good luck for your op xx

I am 3 days post opp and I have a 3 year old, it hasn’t been as hard as I thought but then again my partner has took a few days off work, I had 375cc overs it may be harder with unders. The hardest thing is having to be on guard all the time incase they jump on you. I just told my little one I have a bad chest and I have been wearing baggy tops so she is none the wiser. I am still managing to put her to bed and cuddle her just can’t carry her but children are more adaptable then you think and they just accept it. Good luck
