Have a read through the pack your nurse gave you at your pre op, it tells you alot of do’s and donts in there. I think they generally say 7-10 days. I’m 5 days post op and hate sleeping upright 🙁 xx

It is 7-10 days.. I got a v pillow but have actually found it more comfy pulling with sides right together and creating more of a slope than hugging me pillow. X

I tipped my v pillow the opposite way round and put pillows in between the v bit. I found it more comfortable, if your bottom is getting numb and uncomfy put a pillow under it to ease that xx

Do you have a vpillow? It’s great for that. I also put a pillow under my bum to sit on the vpillow on my back, I slept upright for about 5 weeks I think?! It stopped me getting that hard tight painful ‘morning boob’ thing xx

I started sleeping laying flat after about 5-6 days, the sleeping upright is more for swelling so as long as you feel comfortable lying flat I don’t see why you can’t. You will always get told 7-10 days as it covers them but I just went with what I was comfortable with xx

I couldn’t get comfy in bed no matter how many pillows or my v pillow I found it more comfy sleeping downstairs on my settee and I slept there for 2 and a half weeks and slept great everynite sat up xxx

I was really particular to ask my surgeon about this before my op as I’ve always slept curled up on my side and there was no way I would ever manage lying flat after my BA, let alone sleep propped up on my back! Lucky for me he is not particular about sleeping positions and said if it felt comfortable, it would be fine. Also assured me that if the pockets are made precisely, there’s no risk that the implants will end up malpositioned just from sleeping on my side.
I slept on my side from the very first night after my op and without a bra after the first week. Everything turned out just perfect. But it’s probably best to find out what your surgeon prefers especially since if something doesn’t work out quite right, you don’t want them saying it’s your fault!! Happy healing, hun.

A pillow under your thighs/bum might help in bed, it did for me, I slept fine like that, propped up, for about 10 days – took me a while to get used to the weight of my new assets. At 4 weeks now and lying on my side – still can’t lye on my tummy though.
    Hope you sleep well tonight.
