How long for stitches to dissolve??

I’m 3 weeks post op for vaser. My incisions have healed well, but the stitches are still sticking out loads at both ends. Was just wondering how long it takes for them to dissolve as I’m not due to see the mya nurse for another few weeks x

I had to take mine out as the stitches were becoming worse than the incisions. I did wait for my incisions to be healed first though but i took them out about 2 weeks post op. In that time only one had started to dissolve

Thanks jenni, i think ill get the nurse to cut mine off I’m squeamish!!! Lol. Pleased it’s not just me then. Incisions nearly healed now xx

Yeah I did my abdomen but got my mum to do my arms as I felt faint lol. Try and getting it sorted as soon as you can as it’ll all heal quicker. My stitches were painful which is why I took mine out… Hurt every time I moved my arms, probably worse than the op itself lol x
