Hey girls. I am new to this so no idea what I am doing. Things have went rather quickly and from my initial consultation on Wednesday I am now booked in with the surgeon on Tuesday and in for the op on the following Monday. I lead a very busy lifestyle and I have a 2 year old daughter. I was wondering how soon after the op people were able to be up and about. My husband and I are booked to go for a meal and stay in a hotel on valentines, I’m hoping I can still make it and I’m not being too over ambitious.

I have to agree the first 5 days I couldnt do a lot. Day 6 I felt much better stopped taking painkillers completely, now on day 8 and i feel fine. I had my 1 week post op appointment yesterday got the train there and back and did a bit of shopping. I have 3 children and hubby went back to work day3 po and I struggled a bit for a couple of days. I would make sure you have someone that can help out with your 2year old for at least the first 5/6 days. My youngest is 5 now so I didnt have to worry about picking her up etc
