    Hey fellow forum friends 😀

I’m 2 weeks post op today and have been washing carefully to avoid getting my incisions wet. I saw my nurse last Friday and she changed my dressings and said my I visions were looking really good and healing well. She said today I can remove my dressings and bathe and shower normally. I’m worried to have a bath as I’ve read people on here say you should wait 6 weeks, she said I can also start applying bio oil today. I really want a bath.. Think I’m going to have one but not soak my boobs in the water. Just sit slightly about but not worry too much if they get wet. Has anyone else bathed this early on? Xx

I had a bath about 2 weeks po but didn’t soak my incisions. I then wasn’t able to have a bath again until my 8 week po as my left incision reopened a little to get rid of a stitch. But I was showering from day 8/9 I think. I also didn’t put bio oil on the incisions until my 8 week po check with the surgeon but i used to slap it all over the rest of the boobs 🙂 xxx

Oh can they re open again? Mine looks well and truly tight, just quite lumpy. I was told I was allowed to put bio oil on the scars from today but hearing your experience I’m now scared too lol. Do you mind if I add you btw? I haven’t showered properly yet so my incisions haven’t been touched with water yet, only I plastered them a few hours ago. Could yours have reopened a from showering? Xxx

It was just the stitch not dissolving properly, nothing I could’ve done about it or to prevent it. My incisions were really good too but at about week 5 I noticed a little pain and a little hole like a matchstick head size, with a bit of stitch poking out but it wasn’t a huge issue at all really. For some reason the end of the stitch didn’t want to dissolve inside, but it healed up again no problems once the stitch end popped out 🙂 Have added you now 🙂 xxx

Oh I see, ill just have to be extra careful 😀 going to have a bath now but just avoid soaking my boobs in there, at least it won’t have to be extra shallow like normal 😀 thanks for adding 🙂 x

It’s so confusing as they all say different things lol! For first two weeks I just had to avoid getting incisions wet to avoid infections and from today was told I can bathe normally and apply bio oil.. I’ve just had a bath but didn’t lay back and soak. They defo got wet though. I think as long as they are totally sealed its ok. Xx

If your nurse said you’re ok then go with what she has said 🙂 they wouldn’t say you could if you couldn’t as they need to cover their own backs as well as making sure you’re ok. At my one week my nurse said I would have been ok but as a precaution to wait another week. Xx

I just got told I could shower 6 days post op after my appointment just use fragrance free soap on top of boobs not on incisions though… Think every clinic nurse says different things depending on what they go by I guess 🙂 xx
