How long were you in theatre?

Hey all. I was put under at 2:45pm (after waiting 6 hours after admission!) and was wheeled back to my room at 4:30pm. I thought BAs only took like 45 minutes so has anyone got any idea why my BA appeared to take 1 hour and 45 minutes? X x

I went down for my op at 1 and came back at 3.15 … Think they just make sure they’re completely happy before they close up. They told me 45 all along but when I was actually at the hospital they said the op is 1 hr 30 mins ! Also you’re In recovery for a bit 🙂 xxx

You were in recovery for an hour then by the sounds of it, they hae you in a section of the hospital where you are monitored and come round from the general anaesthetic, then once you come round full they’ll wheel you back to your ward, I was still on colour nine for hours after being back on my ward!xxx

Hey Hun it wouldn’t have taken that long they have to reverse putting you to sleep this takes longer than putting you to sleep! They also keep you on obs for an hour in the recovery room before they will take you back up Hun don’t worry all normal 🙂 xx

Oh cool 🙂 I remember waking up as soon as I was wheeled back into my room. My boyfriend found it amusing how I said “that’s my boyfriend; the birmingham one!” just as I came round. He said I obviously had to specify where he lived as I clearly have more than one! Lol x x

Lol I remember waking up in recovery very slightly though not fully awake and asking for cuddles my exact words were I’m alive! Can I have a cuddle!! pmsl I got the reply of maybe later it’s time to take you back to your room now! Lol ahh it is funny the things you come out with xx

heyy the opp itself can take up to an hour and a half xx

Lol aren’t we funny. I just remember calling the nurse Claire repeatedly and she was like nooo I’m sue lol!! 🙂 xx
