How many consultations are required? I live in North Scotland and looking at going to the clinic in Newcastle just want to know how many times I’ll have to travel back and forth.

Typically you have an initial consultation with a someone at MYA and then have a surgeons consultation with a 14 day cooling-off period before booking your surgery. However, if you choose to, you can have a second surgeons consultation if you’re still not 100% ready to make a decision. You can also have a second surgeons consultation with a different surgeon if you weren’t happy with your first. After you’ve booked you’ll have a pre-op appointment as well and then that’s it before visiting the hospital for the surgery.

Thanks Imogen! Have you had your surgery? ?

Hey. No, I’ve not even booked mine yet. I’ve just had my surgeons consultation and am in my cooling off period now. My consultation was with Dr. Linda Fiumara and I was please with how it went – she didn’t come out with anything unexpected and having boobs is 100% an option, wooh! 😀 Currently doing lots of research and making friends with other women on here to give me an idea on what results to expect.
What stage are you at? Xx
PS. I don’t get notified about your reply unless you tag me by typing @ICRLM but sometimes it doesn’t work. Private message me instead jf you want as I’ll definitely receive that.

Hi Ashleigh @luna24, I’m from Scotland and went to the Newcastle clinic, to save me travelling I had all my appointments in the one day – my PC appointment, surgeon consultation and pre-op. I then had my surgery 15 days later – covering the 14 day cooling off period.
