How much swelling is normal?

I’m 2 days post op and strapped up in bandages. I know it’s ment to be tight to support my boobs but it’s literally pulling my shoulders really far forward. I’ve swelled up so much I’m spilling over the top of the strapping and it’s giving me bruises where the strapping is digging in.

Also it feels like I have 2 water balloons under my armpits if that’s makes sense ? it feels like trapped fluid between my boob and armpit on each side and it feels really gross. Is this normal? It’s about the size of my palm ?

I’m 6 days post op – my boob swelling caused my strapping to split down the middle. It will go down but I took arnica tablets and vitamin C and Zinc to help calm things down a bit.

I also had a air bubble in my left breast all totally normal.

Everyone reacts differently so it’s hard to say for sure someone’s healing is normal. If you’re worried speak with the nurse she will tell you what to look out for. What you’re describing though sounds typical of recovery. Xx

Leah I’m the same, it’s so weird. My ice packs are massively helping tho. I got one from loudspeakers pharmacy for £4.50 a proper post op one. you could try one x

I was really swollen I was worried if it was normal but if it’s nearly equal it should be 🙂 x

I’ve been taking arnica tablets since a few days before, zinc, multivitamins and some fish oil stuff. I’ve had kool paks on constantly. I think I wasn’t ever going to get around the swelling tbh. It’s just nice to hear that it’s all normal I am a bit of a worrier! Xxx
