Hi girls I’m at the consultation stage and something I haven’t really seen mentioned ok here is how often yoir implants need replaced… I’m sure I’ve heard every ten years? I wish they could just be in and that would be it forever the thought of re ops every ten years is scary and expensive!?!? Not enough to put me off though lol.

Hi i was told by my PC that the mentor implants have a lifetime guarantee, however that dosent mean you won’t need a re- op. I’ve heard that the average is 10 years too, but think this really depends on you, it could be sooner it could be longer, in 10 years your body could have changed a lot – exercise, lifestyle, children, ageing etc you may also need a re op if there were any issues the first time ( but hopefully not) . I think that trick is to look after them as much as possible ….don’t be to quick to go bra less, try to support them as much and as often as you can by making sure you get a well fitted supportive bra and some comfy and supportive sports/support bras when lounging at home etc too.

They lifetime guarantee just gives you free implants but u have to pay out the cost for your ops they say 10 years on some implants mine are 25 years but that means nothing as they last loads longer if you don’t hit any problems x

You never ‘need’ to have them re done unless there’s a problem or you see it necessary! For example kids! Or them sagging as your skin gets looser with age! Keep yourself supported and you’ll be fine x

Wow 25 years that’s amazing. Ah well good to know you don’t “need” to have have them redone every ten years! I thought maybe you did as a precaution as things could start to go wrong after that time!! And good to know you should keep them supported to prevent issues I never knew that!

It really depends on personal circumstances. I’m just about to have mine re done after 9 years because I’ve breast fed both my 2 children. They don’t necessarily need doing but I can tell they have gone smaller over time. I’m banking on this being my last surgery. Even i did have another child I wouldn’t have them redone again xx

Hannah Really good to hear yours have lasted 9years even after having kids and breast feeding … Did you find they changed much during/after kids? X

And yeah I would agree ‘need’ could have been a strong word, I meant it loosely. Really do think it’s down to each individual as to when they feel they need/want them re done

@beckii not massively no. I’d say I was a 34dd before the kiddies and im a 34d now so hardly anything. If anything they’ve gone alot more natural looking. And the only Issue I had with breast feeding is a didn’t produce enough in the end (maybe my milk ducts were slightly affected,I have unders ) so had to stop at about 10 weeks, but was still really chuffed I got to do that.

Even after 9 yrs and b feeding they are still a great pair of boobs, best thing I ever did xx
