How tight does the breast band need to be?

Silly question but how tight does it need to be? I wasn’t shown by my nurse before I went home and I’ve just been having an idea how right. But could be doing it wrong ?

It should feel pretty secure but obviously not cutting you in half! I was wearing mine too tight, when I went to my first week check the nurse put it on for me not as tight xx

it needs to be quite tight just not so much that it’s digging in or causing marks. i wore mine on top of my bra as it was itchy and hurting underneath xx
